    Presumably the use of Big Ben specifically was a clue that the British spelling 'storey' should be used.

    Because of your videos I knew that Big Ben is the bell and not the tower so "storey" with the British spelling threw me for a double loop.

      It’s possible I know it from crosswords but more likely just the way anyone knows any words! It’s the same root and meaning as “drayage” which is probably more commonly used in a modern context around things like hauling and transportation.
