just a reminder that not only is it *natural and normal* to feel down sometimes, but we have all spent the past year just trying to SURVIVE! we don't need to be in a Great Place right now, we don't *need* to be anything but Alive! most of us are all feeling the struggle right now, and I encourage you to allow yourself to embrace the solidarity in that. though we all want to feel happy, calm, and secure, we are ALL recovering and trying to become stable again--no one is judging you for being unmotivated or depressed right now. work on being better for yourself, and remember that it's okay to not be okay just yet. one day you will be

ABSOLUTELY ! We forget sometimes how fragile we are and can tend to be hard on ourselves when we would cut others a load of slack. I am trying to get back into mindfulness again to stop the constant chatter and worry going on in my mind and just BE PRESENT! It really does work when I take the time out to practice it.
I have chronic fatigue syndrome and I feel guilty when I spend a day resting. I am now “recharging”. I love that. Thank you!

@@simple_naildesigns me too. Fibromyalgia… I can work through the pain a little easier than I can the fatigue.
@@wendysmith8298 yes, agree. The fatigue is much stronger and I have no option but to lay and rest. I have Chiari 1 Malformation and Syringomyelia. I had craniotomy in 2013 and Laminectomy in 2017. But I’m pushing through. 💜

When I feel myself falling down a sadness rabbit hole I always tell myself, “don’t believe everything you think” and it really helps me to approach my feelings with a new mindset.

I’m in a serious rut right now, so this couldn’t have come at a better time. I have ADHD and depression and my emotions are a rollercoaster throughout the day. Medications help but I appreciate hearing someone else’s strategies 💕
For me, music plays a big part in helping my mindset/mental health. So even though I don't identify as a Christian, I like to listen to Christian music as it calms my mind, and the more I allow myself to get lost in it, the more at peace I feel. Thank you for sharing these reminders, Brittany ❤

Yesterday I was literally thinking about you and how motivated and productive you always are, and that I wish I could be more like you. I don't even have kids but I feel like I still struggle with being in ruts. I'm glad youre so honest about things like this 🤗
Girl, you don't need kids to be in a rut or feel down! Your feelings are totally valid no matter your personal situation. I don't have kids and I go through some REALLY low days. We all struggle!
All good ideas. I use some of those techniques. I also talk it out with myself. Whatever room I'm in at home I think out loud, express my feelings, brainstorm. it's cathartic.
I really love your sincerity and honesty to show that although your life seems perfect everybody have there own problems. I have pmdd also so I really appreciate your advice. Keep doing what you're doing, your great!

I have a whole room I've been trying to Declutter and organize I have been putting this off for so long the minute I walk in there I feel overwhelmed I am going to set smaller goals of 20 or 30 minutes at a time and see if that helps!

My husband suffers with panic disorder and anytime he is dealing with that or is just not feeling well, I try and get him to go outside, ESPECIALLY on a rainy day. He will tell you, that I have a weird connection with water but I swear by it that it makes me feel better, no matter what. There literally was a time we were both sick and I went outside and sat in the rain, and then came back in and sat under a warm shower (once it stopped raining) and I was completely better while he still moaned and groaned about being unwell. Grounding is amazing!
Some great advice and right at the right moment for me. Grounding is great, I literally feel the energy coming up through my body when I stand on the grass.
