- If you purchased a wall-mounted Eley Hose Reel (amzn.to/3PFKqX5 ) and are trying to figure out how to easily install it, this video is for you. This video is a step-by-step instruction series of the wall-mounted, wood-frame installation on your home's studs, not the cinderblock/concrete installation.
The parts on this Eley are essentially the same as they are with the post-mounted, hose reel stand, and the hose reel cart versions, but each of those will have a different set of instructions (all of which are easier than this one).
I'm using a Gilmour Medium Duty Flexogen 5/8 Inch by 100 Feet hose, which I like a lot (though it does tend to kink now and then): amzn.to/3wly4N8

Helpful, very clear instructions. I actually installed one of these years ago using the manual (ie without UA-cam) and it took forever. I bought a second one recently and I had the benefit of experience plus your video. Eley changed the swivel from the gooseneck copper tube, to a cast 120° angled fitting. And they got rid of the large threaded aluminum fitting that attaches to the inlet hose. The new fitting is still aluminum but no threads to strip. It slides on and it simply tightened with an allen-head screw. MUCH BETTER than the the threaded fitting. Good job Eley! 👏

Does the 5 foot extension have to be within 5 feet of your Spicket or could you put another extension on that paper extension if your wheels gonna be 20 feet away from your Spicket?

Make sure you pre drill the holes and find some studs underneath as you would with any other siding
