C'mon Behram, Afridi didn't bring his best against India. After 67 ODI matches, he averaged 25 @ 109 SR with the bat, 2×100, 4×50, so he performed in 6 out of 67 matches against India. With the ball, he averaged only 60 with the ball at 5.05 economy which was insane in those times. That's worse than part time bowler. He was a net negative against India most of the times apart from one fluke innings here and there.
@@iceman1125 Bro you missed my point. His average coupled with SR and his bowling made him the force he was. But against India, his SR was down with the bat, he performed in 1 times in every 11 ODIs with the bat and absolutely horrendous with the ball. So, all the things that they are praising him and making a case for him, he was terrible at against India. So, he didn't bring "his best" against India. He was fantastic against everyone else and a futuristic cricketer.
Please make a Crick Picks Podcast on the "WORST EVER" umpires in cricket history. It would be great if you took into account the controversies surrounding those umpires outside of the decisions they made in the cricket field as well, like how Steve Bucknor gave an infamous interview in 2006 and basically turned the tide against the adoption of DRS. Conversely, you can also make a Crick Picks Podcast on the Best umpires too!
@@aswathgovindarajan8859 Bucknor gets all the blame but Benson was on similar level too. But the umpire that should be on top of list of bad umpires is the one who gave Murali no ball for bowling action.. even after he was cleared by icc panel.
Jarrod I think it was a Pakistani film, even back then I don’t think Pakistani players were shown in a positive light in Bollywood movies. It could be the film ‘Main hoon Shahid Afridi’, a 2013 film where a kid aspires to play like him. The real Afridi cameos in the film too
Ok it could be one scene in particular from the 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan where a girl celebrates Afridi smashing Ashwin out of the park being shown on TV while sitting among an Indian family who is despondent at the match and surprised at this childs behaviour. The plot has this girl from Pakistan mistakenly end up in India and how Salman Khans character takes her back home
It could also have been a 2013 film called D-Day, where there’s a shot of Irfan Khan’s young son wearing a Pakistan jersey with Afridi’s name on it. However, in the movie, Irfan played an Indian spy who married a Pakistani woman in Karachi, and the kid was shown to be growing up as a normal Pakistani kid. However, I think “Main Hoon Shahid Afridi” is the likeliest option.

I don't think any Indian would envy a freaky Wasim or a freaky Waqar episode (or even a freaky Saeed Anwar, who tormented my generation of Indians). Afridi had a few freaky innings, but his batting technique was a joke (and his bowling was average at best). Among a generation of exceptional Pakistani talents, Afridi didn't stick out as a player to me.
@@rotihit maybe actually listen to the episode? Stupid man. It's not freaky if they're just good. Afridi was freaky because he had weird numbers. No one said he's the best player ever.
Ok tell me one afridi innings against india in any important match like odi nd t20 world cup 😂 most overrated slogger who was a batsman only on flat road kinda pitch nd shitted on tough pitches
Over-rated slogger who flattered to deceive all the time. Think Afridi and the image that would instantly pop is that of him chewing on the ball in public glare and lying about it when asked. He summed himself right- Bowler who could occasionally bat. The comparison is apt with Sunil Naraine. Comparing him with other batting greats is just stupid.
Youre acting like being compared to sunil narine is a diss. One of the best t20 players of all time and afridi pioneered it without any concerns over his action
Afridi played 1999,2003,2011,2015 wc against us nd shat his pants everytime😂 he also played 2 times against us in 2007 t20 world cup , 2012,2014,2016 t20 worldcups nd always was a free walking wicket against us in any of those important matches 😂
@@Capitale_E oh I just stated facts if u know his half a decent batting performance against India in any world cup match which he played 9 btw against India including a wc final nd a semi final he always flopped against us in important games it's a fact

I don't know bro, I remember him playing great and responsibly against india multiple times. Like the 2012 series and asia cup

Chennai test, ct 2009 with the ball, 2005 series.
