Wiebke in Berlin!

Your Apartment looked really nice that you had in Berlin. I would have taken a book with me and sit in one of those places and read. That whole area looked so nice and so inviting. At least you got away for a while.
    Take Care & Happy Reading

Thanks, W! Loved this video. I’m also a solo traveller. And I am actively working on feeling comfortable out and about by myself in a society designed for groups of at least two. (Why not enjoy our own company, right?! And as you said, no one cares, or is paying attention! Let go of our insecurities!) I rented a whole apartment on a solo trip to Cromer, UK, and loved it! LOVED it. And it was actually cheaper than a hotel.
Anyway, I had a thought: you’re from Hannover, right? What about a video talking about what it’s like to live there, while you read books set in Hannover? I don’t know if there are any worthy books, though. I imagine so, since Hannover is big and old?
I’m from small town, Ontario, Canada, and I can definitely tell you the answer is negative. lol. But I could expand to Toronto authors, I suppose, which is only an hour away.

Yay for solo traveling! Thank you for sharing your experiences.
The only popular books set in Hannover I know of are some crime stories, and I have no interest in those. Have not come across any interesting books set in Hannover, sadly.

The last time I traveled was in December. I drove 10 hours to my grandma’s funeral. I didn’t have any travel issues with that. But I am getting ready to travel to the Grand Canyon in April by plane and I’m getting nervous about that as several planes lately here in the US have had in-flight issues like doors blowing off. It’s apparently due to Boeing (like the main maker of airplanes here in the US) taking cost-cutting measures in a bad way. So hopefully nothing too bad will happen with that.
Sorry you have anxiety about travel, but glad you were able to get away. I watch Jenni King (another Booktuber) and she just went on a solo trip where she stayed in a cabin for 2 days and she was talking about her travel anxiety in her latest vlog too. I haven’t traveled much by myself-I usually just go with family and friends. I was just thinking watching you and Jenni that maybe I should plan a few days where I go somewhere an hour or two away by car. We have lousy public transport here so we go most places by car unless it’s far enough away to warrant getting on a plane.

Sorry to hear about your gandma. I heard about those issues with boeing, but I think they had a lot of attention so they can't afford to not triple check flights for safety now. If I had a car I would go on different short daytrips more. But I hate driving and renting one for a day is ridiculous expensive compared to trains.
I havent seen Jenni's video yet, hopelessly behind as usual, but maybe I'll bump it up the list. Thanks for letting me know :)

Good on you for going on a trip. I think your anxiety will get a touch better as you do it more, considering you mentioned how much you used to puke travelling. When I travel I just eat everything haha. I've only traveled by myself once, it was a mixed bag. I loved the freedom but I was also grieving my mother. I haven't travelled since then (2020) but I want to. BC is getting so woke, my usual Vancouver destination is no longer desirable. Maybe it's time to leave the country for the first time ever.

That's what I am hoping. In the past I found that doing things more made them easier, so already thinking of another city trip to a familiar city. :)

So sorry for my absence, but sometimes life takes you for a spin and you have to hold on tight. All is good now and I’ll try hard not to overlook you again 😊 Hope you made it back home safely, I’ll be heading home on Thursday ✈️

@@Boxer309 Don't worry, just glad to hear you are fine. It's perfectly normal to get distracted by IRL events and cut down online presence. I'm safely back in everyday work life.
