    Thanks for the in-depth information. Originally, I was going to start a deep cavity with Cal LC, followed by a layer of zinc-oxide, with a micro-hybrid composite to finish.
    Now I'm not confident applying the zinc-oxide layer under the composite layer although, the micro composite contains fluoride and, zinc-oxide is highly-soluble.
    I guess now I'm wondering, will the oxide adhere to the composite?
    What if I start with Cal LC, apply the zinc-oxide layer then hit the oxide layer with another thin application of Cal LC, before finishing with the micro composite. Would this arrangement compensate for the oxide's lack of adhesion, or should I just skip the zinc-oxide layer altogether?

    Why is not the non modified ZOE cement used as temporary base ,although it is away from saliva of the oral cavity that dose not make it dissolved ???

    Sir it would be really a great help for if u clear my confusion between temporary cementing and temporary filling ?

    • @Aspire32
      @Aspire32  3 роки тому +3

      If u have a cap and u want it to be placed on tooth but u plan to remove again for next appointment. Here u need a cement which is temporarily meaning u can easily remove cap again. Thats temporary cementing, meaning cementing a crown. Suppose you did a class 1 amalgam cavity prepration but u dont have time to fill the cavity. But you cant leave the cavity open. So u have to put a temporary cement so that it fills the cavity preparation but u can remove the cement from cavity next appointment. Thats temporary restoration.

    • @Aspire32

      Wow. Great question. I did found the answer in a book.
      Gypsum products are normally mixed with a stiffbladed spatula in a flexible rubber bowl . This combination permits the technician to apply enough pressure in hand mixing to avoid the formation of lumps , while the flexibility of of bowl allows removal of hardened material.
