- This is what y'all have been asking for! We finally install the Z1 Motorsports VRX70B (ball bearing version) turbos, along with all the fueling mods and other supporting mods. We dyno tuned it on EcuTek, with a goal of making 750 whp or bust.

The guy recording talking about the AMS intercooler did a really good job explaining👍👍👍
Thank you, I try. Hussain is less awkward than me tho 😂
Great numbers! Pretty much what I expected... Now throw the beadlocks on it and let's see it run at the track.
Yessir! Once Texas cools down and the weekly hurricanes go away! 😂😭
Alex is 2024 VR 30 Guru of the Year... What a STUD.
🐐💻
INSANE! What a capable JDM car.
With the right mods definitely! 🫡
Now our Z’s are twinsies 🙂↔️
Can’t wait to go fast again together 🥰
@@goracebox would love to see more footage of the car being driven at it's fullest capacity, safely of course. Love both builds and the new Z platform. I'm in the family with a 09 370Z Sport + Touring but not in the family of being fast :*(.
really nice smooth graph amazing job!!! love see the Z back Keep up easy flat 5 sec 60-130
Glad the Z is getting some love. Big numbers
Absolutely cannot wait to run this car and see some times!
Keep up the good work . Racebox best in the biz .. Makes me want to buy a Z
Well done lads and lass. Well done. A legit green monster
😘
Beautiful. Lets get that high DA Low 5s. 🎉
Shiiiii maybeeee
LFG!!!! W RACEBOX
🤝🤝🤝
Chase those dyno numbers because the internet says ur not making what it should throw and smaller tire to make 1000
I guessed 756 lol Very close‼️ Great work!
great job guys
🤝🫡
lets go! good job guys....
You gotta hop on these Z1 turbos! 👀
Let's see some draggy times at night to get some baseline. Hoping at over 600 torque it holds together.
Nice Alex 👍👍👍
Impressive guys!
Plenty of power
We’ll see how well we can actually put it down lol!
@@goracebox awesome performance, interested in the potential of the stock block
Marcus is the real RACEBOX
😤😤😤
I can’t remember seeing anyone do upgrades and upgrade the oil cooler
For our purposes, not needed for the few seconds it’s going to run down a drag strip. The stock oil cooler is more than adequate for the task.
Torque is the majority of destruction of all engines. Reduce the low end torque and I’m sure they’ll live a lot longer. You don’t need 600 ft lbs of torque at the low rpm range
We already manage torque HEAVILY on these VR30s, we know a thing or two about keeping these engines together at high hp. 🙂
🔥🔥🔥
Nice numbers, im in the process of getting my z1 turbos upgraded due to the turbos starting to fail any issues with the ball bearing ones at all ?
Absolutely zero issues with the ball bearing versions! Every one of our customers that upgraded to ball bearings or started with them, have had no complaints and all made great power.
@@goracebox good to hear 👌🏾
i so wish nissan/infiniti made inline-6 instead of v6. its just so hard to make the v6 sound good in my opinion. my '18 Nismo 370z sounds ok, but itll never sound as good as a Toyota or BMW inline-6.
Agreed lol, need to bring back the RB 😤
It’s mostly due to the fact that it’s an integrated exhaust. If it had open headers it should sound exactly like a GTR
Sick!! Any benefit of cams on VR30?
For our current setup and power level, not needed lol.
Should do a x pipe on the dump would make it sound less lawnmowery
Then that kind of ruins the whole point of the dumps: to be as light as possible with the least amount of restrictions. If we want a less atrocious exhaust note, we would put our catback exhaust back on lol. This car is not a daily and in this stage of the build, is meant to extract the maximum amount of performance out of the stock engine/trans and as a track car.
@@goracebox then dont winge about the sound🤷🏻
Hussain won’t be driving this car, he forces me to anyways 😭
Stock block?
Yep stock engine and trans.
@@goracebox what he been the record?
For the new Z, this is probably it at the moment. For VR30s overall, we have done right over 800whp and multiple others in the mid to high 700s all on the stock engine and trans! Utilizing Z1 and other full frame turbo setups.
how much power can these make before its unreliable??
We like to keep it at low to mid 700 whp and right around 600wtq. We have done the most Z1 turbo cars, and they’ve all been running strong since these turbos released with proper setups and maintenance. The ones that run into issues would have run into the same issues on stock turbos, caused by other parts failure or negligence.
there was a post on the forums recently about the engine oil pressure control valve. do you guys run it plugged or unplugged?
Yes, this has been an issue for the VR30 since its inception, on some cars with failing solenoids it gets stuck open and bleed off oil pressure at high rpms. Yes, you can simply unplug the solenoid and tune out the DTC, so it stays closed, but on cars like our Z that is basically brand new, we left it untouched. We will be very mindful of oil pressure and the second we see any drop we’ll either replace the solenoid or the oil pressure sensor, whichever one is failing, or just straight up unplug it as well.
😁
During the video someone mentioned, don’t shift @ 3K RPMs …can you explain why plz
Nah its dont floor it at 3k rpm without down shifting. Its a turbo car thing, dont want to get the engine under lots of load with lots of boost low in the RPM range. If you have a stock setup though its not a problem. Mostly just for NA+T guys like me
If you flow it at 3k rpm you are lugging the engine.
What they said^ This is especially bad when people floor it at low rpms in a higher gear like 5th or 6th gear.
Needs bigger turbos!!!!!!
Chilllllllll 😫
how much does a set up like this cost?
For a completely stock car that want to do this, it’s about $15k in parts, and ~$20k total for install labor and tuning. For already modded cars it can be a lot cheaper, because a lot of bolt on parts carry over. Hit us up if u would like a more detailed answer or an itemized quote based on ur setup, email sales@goracebox.com 🫡
600ftlb of torque on an unopened block. WTH Nissan?!
You can add even more air, fuel, cooling, and better headers.
Stretch the 600ftlb to 7000rpm with a boost controller.
That's an 800whp capable stock engine.
Unfortunately the VR30 head design doesn’t flow that well, the exhaust manifold is built into the head (turbos bolt straight up to the head), which restricts us. When it comes to fueling, we’re very limited in what we can do with the DI system, about to install an AMS dual LPFP to help. Port injection is available, but atm not integrated in EcuTek (like B58s) and we’re not a fan of the smoothness of batch firing PI injectors. Trying to push the most out of these cars with all the limitations and lack of aftermarket support is definitely a challenge we have been facing for years.
So these are making as much power as a n54 ?
No idea lol, not too familiar with the older BMWs.

Now work on the Q🙄🙄
😭😫😭
Sounds like a tractor 😂
Open dump VR30 tings 😤
