Hi Traviaun, So glad you like it. You would not make a substitution, you would really need a balanced palm-free recipe to make a soap that remained firm. We have many on our channel and you will find some other fantastic ones on UA-cam through other fabulous soap makers too.
@@SoapSchoolUK I thought you could use Crisco in place of palm if it was palm oil shortening? They have crisco that is soybean (that you couldn't use) and then the homogenized palm oil ? I've replaced palm oil with crisco and lard and the recipe came out perfect.
I love these! Did you cover them at all? Or did you keep them on the counter open to the elements? I made my own recipe yesterday and mine partially gelled but I had them insulated on the counter and I did a lot of peeking because I was afraid they would overheat and do something funny. But thankfully they just set pretty quickly. Only issue is mine partially jelled because I kept checking on it and disrupted the overall heating during the jellied/gel phase
We use regular RBD Palm oil. Creamy in colour and solid in the UK at room temperatures. We do not use the red unrefined palm oil We Used: 250 Olive Oil 150 Plam Oil 100g Coconut Oil 10g Honey 69g Sodium Hydroxide 150g Distilled Water 10g May Chang Essential Oil
I’m so afraid to use lye ! Pls do a video on using lye sometime and safest ways to use it! Should I be afraid, really of it? I I’m obviously a beginner 😊
I started making soap a few months ago. I mix the lye outside where the breeze blows the vapor away from me. I use all the proper PPE. When I mix it, my bowl is within an ice water bowl to cool it down a little quicker. It’s not as scary a thing as it’s made out to be. Keep a spritzer of vinegar available incase you do splash. Don’t be afraid. Just use care. And enjoy soap making.
@@elisanappo5196 You are welcome. I don't have a translator right now but trying to understand. We only use RSPO palm oil to ensure it is responsibly sourced. You cannot simply switch an oil or ingredient, you need to formulate or use a balanced recipe with the lye recalculated for the specific oils being used.
These are beautiful thanks for sharing. I’m new to cp soap if I made this what oil could I substitute for palm oil?

It might be because it's now winter so colder? I would cover in the winter with a couple layers and just a light cover in the summer
Which liquid oil are u ad ?
Thanks for the instructions,
I want to make honey soap with just tallow, honey, lye and water, can you help me with this?
A tallow only soap will not really lather as well as a mixed oil soap. Is there a reason you only want tallow?
Hello, have just found this video but can not find the recipe, please help, really want to make this one. Thanks in advance
are you using palm oil in a liquid form or a kernel form? I have never used and don't want to screw up
We use regular RBD Palm oil. Creamy in colour and solid in the UK at room temperatures. We do not use the red unrefined palm oil
We Used:

Did you add any colour?
Nope just the colour of the soap
Where can I find those molds?
We got ours on Amazon but they are also available on Aliexpress
What can I use instead of palm oil in both honey soap as well as rooibos soap 😊🙏
You will need a palm free recipe instead

@@iztherelife1340 aww thanks so much! I will try to brave it up and attempt it! blessings and happy holidays to you!
Thank you dear for sharing this recipe , I tried to make these kind of soap but it didn’t work ,It remains liquid and does not solidify😥
Hi Mariam, It sounds like you didn't have a recipe with enough palmitic and stearic acid in or you had possibly not mixed until it traced.
We dont have Plam oil..what i can substitute?😘
Hi Nadia, You can use any palm free soap recipe and add the honey to it if you prefer to go that route 🙂
@@SoapSchoolUK The quantity is the same as plam oil?
The amount of honey would remain the same but your main recipe would change to a palm-free variety
What's the self life of this soap?
I put 12 months on a honey soap but its much longer
@@SoapSchoolUK Thanks!
Buongiorno come posso sostituire l'olio di palma? Grazie
Hi Elisa, You can use any palm free soap recipe and add the honey to it if you prefer to go that route 🙂
