I discovered them by accident too. I am a thrift store treasure hunter, and one day I found a gallon size zip lock back jam packed with these curious little mice. I instantly was attracted to the unique look and apparent quality of the dolls, I examined the bag as well as I could without opening it, and noticed the little Maileg tags, which I had never heard of before. I definitely wanted to buy it, but when I noticed the $28 price tag, the common-sense homemaker in me, put it down, with thoughts of groceries on my mind. When I got home and looked them up online, I couldn’t believe it! That little bag had to be worth close to $300! Alas, the pitfall of thrift store shopping, it’s now or never, and of course they were not there the next day. And now I’m hooked!
