I stopped playing WC3 about 15 years ago, but still watch you play, your ability to make games fun have helped me keep playing other games but applying the same principle for a long, long time. Take care and thanks for keep posting after so long
You can simply play it for fun from time to time, host a custom map vs AI, there are some nice 4v4, or 3v3 maps. Let one random person join or invite, and play 2v4 normal ai, or 2v3/5, and what ever. If even 2v3 beats you, then simply reduce difficulty of some bots to easy (or vice versa add more bots). It can be quite fun and good games without (much) skill, and this modes make sure you can actually have some game. AI ws a always fun in RTS games, becaues you can set the difficulty and it can always be challenging but doable to realize something you have in mind. Kinda casually. Again the difficulty is totally adaptable. That being said it can add fun having experienced a vs humans game lately on such map (bad games) to then see the difference of playability. Like a cold coke at a hot day, you know. And of course this is not for people who are strong pvpers seeking that extra challenge of a human enemy, this is for people who didn't play for some time, or i.e. perhaps only the campaign. The game offers a lot to experience some multiplayer like vibes without having to spend hundreds of hours. Also a human ally certainly adds the multiplayer atmosphere and teamplay for some time, either just casually or until you are better. And why 3 to 5 enemies? Extra slashing, extra fun, aaand experience for heroes. Personal choice. I personally always liked this to try out heroes(combos) and have them level high, more reliably but still with some thrill, when i was not playing the game actively (anymore). It's surprising how well some combos fare vs AI while others not at all. Or... I always liked this to simply to get an Army I want without getting rushed to death by Ghoul All-ins, Wyfern, or 3on1 in 4v4 hu games when I'm not even ready for 1v1. Side note: There are some cool youtubers who bring some real fun AI challenges to the screen. PS: From playing casually these were also good times and actually raising skill effectively, over time, to beat human players in Versus. -> Treat it as a game! (= you decide!) -> Profit.
love this one because the guy early gg's ofc, and then he plays it out and slowly realizes he's losing more and more until he's absolutely lost, and then at the end he still thinks he thinks he's too aggressive/made mistakes, when in reality grubby said he knew he was going to win from before he even called the early gg. truly a difference in skill that the enemy doesn't even know - like a level of skill that you don't even realize how far apart you are.
i love when enemy cockiness is beyond roof and when you suddenly start to have very visible advantage they stay quiet whole game it make victories delicious ;)
4:45 where your SH had 3 hp and then when he recovered to like 10, you decided to click his footman to damage him, and then after a long run, you kill his footman. HILARIOUS. GG amazing comeback.
The opponent in this game was not interested in beating you in terms of gameplay, but rather patience. They were not attacking your pieces on the board, but rather, you yourself. They wanted to destroy your resolve, and as such did whatever they could to lower your morale. I imagine the 71% winrate comes from players who simply don't like having their time wasted, rather than Solitary being genuinely, "good" at the game. Props to you, what a rude playstyle.
This is an old video, but I respectfully disagree. I have not played WC3 in over a decade but I get my competitive kicks in Mt:G. What villain was doing is quite a legitimate strategy imo. He was using his superior mobility to drain Grubby's attention and micro. the "attention" trade was quite beneficial to the villain. Grubby proved better by creeping while beeing harrased - his 3 high-level heroes playing a crucial role in the later game - being extremely cost efficient. In later game Solitary didn't switch his approach - high mobility being less of a factor when he was on the back foot defending the cross spawn expo. He also had an under leveled MK. He wasn't in that bad of a situation in regards to economy - having his additional goldmines up - you can see that in his final resource score. I can't rightfully calculate how much he lost to upkeep though. In my (inexperienced) opinion, he failed to use his gryphons cost effectively late game, losing them quite often and not healing up the wounded ones. this resulted in him not getting that critical DPS where he could 1 or 2-shot a tower and get our Hero again strained to defend multiple points.
Here‘s the rundown of the Band of brothers:SH flips the mana pendant to TC,BAM a shockwave, then TC throw it to Alch, healing spray all over the place. Next thing you know, passed it back to SH,another Serpent ward pops out. dont mess with the pros😅
