A great song
That voice got me when I was a young man. I'm 59 and still listening. Love you. Your like family.
The song brings back memories of my childhood. I have tears in my eyes. Terrific song. I wasn't quite a child. I was about 12 years old, when Jeannie and Royce Kendall recorded that song. We had just moved into a new house there were a lot of changes in my life at that time, and that song evokes some fond old memories.
Just been watching some of the CMA Awards show and had to get away from Carrie Underwood and her whining introductions.....couldn't have come to a better place!.......FABULOUS!
+graham bull Go to this site www.cfrvideos.com/ and you can buy all the complete series, I have the complete sets of everything Larry Black and his team have produced even the Rock and Roll Graffiti Collection, and I have watched them over and over again this was when country music and Rock'N'Roll were the real deal not like the crap of today!
Something's missing. . . could it maybe Royce?
@@geofredotappan9777 I didn’t know,but he died in 1998,their harmonies were electric!
@@Grahamgusbull no better harmonies.
Agree 👍 real country music 🎶
She sounds just as good today as she did years ago well done
Yes, my son Dakotah logs with her son Bobby Kendall ❤️
@@MaryShoemaker-wi4fy So!
I agree, she was high pitch and annoying then too. But Super Great song!
@@samenamenamesame2834 IKR 🙌
She should still be making records!!!!!!!! She has one of the BEST (probably THEE BEST) female voice in country music EVER!!! It's a crime if she's not recording!
Just saw her perform Friday night in Branson. Spoke with her after. Wonderful girl. Fantastic voice. Always loved their music!
Great song - brings back memories! Jeannie has such an awesome voice , well we all know Rhonda has it going on but let's not forget Darren! Great job to all three!
Hello Sherry Quilter. How are you doing?
I hope this brings more people of all ages to real country music.
JEANNIE still has her great voice. loving this still on OCT. 1st 2019
4/28/20...8:00pm...Sadly quarantined but HAPPILY listening from my house.
I used to go see The Kendalls in Gulf Shores Alabama in the late 80s & early 90s when they had their dinner-theater there.
A lot of good times.
Much love from Mobile Alabama.
Jeannie, still has a great voice, after all of these years.
On-stage in the 70s, when she was still a skinny little thing, Royce introduced her as "Dolly Parton after taxes." Nice to see her again, and glad she's still performing. She sounds great!
She still sounds the same. That makes me happy!
Iheard song my best friend Stephanie loved it no longer with us
This is real and pure country music 🎶
For those of you who were not around the amount of air time this song got on Country Western radio was incredible.
I love this song such a great country classic
Wow - I have nothing but respect for artists like Jeannie who work hard to keep their voice in top form! Is it just me, or does she sound even better than 35 years ago?
She sounds good
Just as good, maybe better.
What does a person have to do to work hard to keep their voice in top form , other than have a pulse. Inquiring minds want to know. Cheers.
@@tracykingston9668 absolutely nothing either you can sing Or you can't
These ladies are legendary in country music
These women are all classll! !Singing music that is so beautiful.. Their Harmony is so wonderful.. Could listen to Gods Music tiil the end of time....God Bless these Women!!!!!!!!
Best version of this song since Jeannie and her father were still performing together...loved it! Of course any time Rhonda Vincent adds her angelic voice to a song, it makes it even better. Thanks for posting!
God Bless,
Jeff :)
Ronda Vincent is one hot singer
Amen to that!
She messed up the words near the end of the song
Love the song the Kendalls and Rhonda Vincent

Jeannie sounds great and the Vincent's and the band all do a fantastic job. Love this gal !!!!
Country music woow
She still sounds like she did over 40 yrs ago . Amazing !!
She was pitch perfect, exactly like she was in the late 70's early 80's.
Her father would be so proud of her, if he was still alive.
God Bless! Soooo Cool, nice job.
Wow! Jeannie still sounds as great as she did in the 70's and 80's! Awesome! And as always, who don't love listening to Rhonda Vincent???? She's a hometown gal that did good!
I love watching Rhonda sing with her hands
love the Kendalls. jennies dad used to cut my hair when I was a young kid at his barber shop in what is now Maryland Heights mo. and I remember Royce and Jennie singing. Their songs bring back so many great memory.

@@douglasstudeman5531 What a beautiful song done by incredible voice.
Her outfits were fabulous! No one wore a hat better. I wish more women would wear hats, it really accents their beauty.
I remember that song back when I was a junior in high school during the 1977-1978 school year. :)
Graduated in 1980. Was putting up hay for grandad the Summer this came out, one of many songs which reintroduced me to country music.
Great song... and no one can do it any better. What a distinctive voice :)
A1 performance. It's so nice to hear and see a family all singing together. The family that sings together, stays together. ❤❤
love this song long time ago and she sounds as good as she did then.
Love this classic hit song, still remember see her and her Father in concert back 1988 still greatest song. Thank You
Hello Julie brtek. How are you doing?
such a beautiful voice.
Wow, her voice really held up well through the years.
I love the words of this song. I watched it so often
I remember when my 2 sisters sang this when I was little and now they are in Nashville ❤
So, want a cookie?
I've always loved the Kendall's! Jeannie's voice is second to no one. Beautiful singing!
Must be dang cold in that studio , Rhonda has to wear a winter coat. Yikes.
Hey how are you doing..?
Damn, the best duo I have heard in a while. Am in love with both ladies...... Just a sin away
Among my many favorite memories was too many years ago when The Kendall's were here in Norfolk, NE; the Dad and Daughter pair were then smashingly great.I loved them then, yet do. Sadly, we never get to listen to the great music of yesteryear anymore except on the most rarest of occasions. Thanks you so much for the upload.
This video was from 2013. 36 years after the original was released and Jeannie Kendall still sounded great!! She didn't miss a single note. This coming from someone who really isn't that much into country music. But, a great song is a great song and a great prerformance is a great perrformance.
I remember this on the radio while my parents were given me a lecture on how immoral rock music was!
I hear ya. I used to listen to rock and country as a kid. I remember as a kid throwing that up in my dad's face. He just chuckled, told me to shut the heck up and get back to my chores.
I wish I could sit & listen to people singing live like this again 1 of my fondest memories with my grandma was sitting like this
I seen Miss Jeannie and her dad way back in the 70s in Canada in one of our rural lake communities...best show I ever saw, they came to our cabin and we hung out sang the next night PURE country and the friendliest family EVER...God Love ya...this is the best song and better in person with the personal touch...............
Hello Canadas. How are you doing?
Great singer.....great song....go Jeannie!!!!!!🇨🇦
I'd love to meet her in person
Shes a natural talent & shes blessed🎶
Sounds just as good as she did when it first came out, awesome Job Ladies.
Jeannie is a great singer singing a great song
I remember this song when I was a kid. Still love it. Some songs never get old
So many mean trolls..Just enjoy the music and SHUT UP!!!
Have no idea why some people would dislike this music. What a voice and the lyrics are pure Country!
Exactly! Love this!
@@davewilliams5102 unfortunately some people don't have much of a life and that how they think they can gain self worth, all we can do is either pray for them or just piss on them.
I think it it kids that are into this music called Hip hop and don't know what country music is
@@davewilliams5102 I like this version just fine. The original was a little unsettling because Jeannie sang it with her dad.
It's good to hear Jeannie Kendall again... I can't think of anyone else that would help her create the spirit of song that her and her father did except for Rhonda and Darrin Vincent.. I also know that this taping was a delight and memorable for Rhonda and Darrin...
Amazing I miss this generation of country 😪😪😪😪😪
fabulous, she sounds like she's 25.
That harmonizing is amazing!
Devil cannot get me down, unless i let him,WHY? When Jesus said, IT IS FINISHED, at The Cross of Calvary that gave us Victory over Satan , In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Holy Bible KJV.
wow truth
Country Music Classic... Jeannie Country Girl !!!
A great performance vocally and instrumentally. Wow, what a band! -Ken Nelson
Jeannie is absolutely amazing! She sings so effortlessly and it comes out beautiful. I've always wanted to meet her
She still has the voice, doesn't she?!
SpazzyLogic )
Absolutely sir. No damage to her volcel cords
She sounds great. I sure miss her father! RIP.
It never changed at all over the years! She is Amazing
Yes I miss her father
Real true country music!
Awesomeness all around. They do NOT make 'em like this any more. Love it.
Exactly
Nope!! Will be duplicated!
Will never be!! Lol
Love the steelie in this song.
I luv traditional country. Sans the fireworks, 500 piece band, light show from Battlestar Galactica. Let the MUSIC do your talking. What's more admirable than a singer sitting down with nothing but a guitar and GRABBING you? A few can still do it. Hoyt Axton could. Willie can. A handful of others. I know, I'm old. But the lyrics, the VOICE is the thing. Gee-gaws are just gee-gaws.
Tom Swinburn gw
Dave I don't use all those words, I just plain old like this song!
We all know some of us are listening to the whole country family reunion playlist
Great singer ...she still has it. And still looks good.
all i can say is WOW !! JUST WOW !! Rhonda never got to really show that her voice is great !!
Without a doubt the funkiest synth bass line in all country music.
This was one of my favorite songs as a kid. Up north I'd hike the dirt roads & trails singing this to high heaven. A lot of Ricky Skaggs to. It helped scare off the bears. And pass the miles... Little boy bluegrass, and his slingshot. God.. Bring me back there when I die.😇
Lovely. Can really deliver country music. 💕🙏🥰🎸🎶
The pros of the Universe ♡♡♡Rhonda's got her part and she ain't budgin' =) it's perfect
Go on and sing it Woman
THIS SONG IS SO AWESOME! I NEVER GET TIRED OF LISTENING TO IT...THIS VERSION IS MY FAVORITE ONE WITH YOU TWO JEANNIE AND RHONDA...GREAT BAND TOO!...
Fantastic stuff, Irish woman who adores country music, go raibh míle maith agat, which means thank you very much.
Great song I love the kendalls Jeannie has such a beautiful voice
Jeannie Kendall might have aged but her voice is still the same. What happen to her father?
Royce passed away about 1998, he suffered a stroke while doing a meet and greet with fans before their performance
i used to listen to Jennie Kendall and her father when they were singing country music in the late 70s early 80s. They used to sing a song called If You're waitin on me you're backing up. I'd love to find that video on yout ube.
Now here’s where it’s at!! Always be a fan of Jeannie Kendall for The Kendall’s was my first love of country music.
Dam the good old days gone forever
That voice hasn't dropped a bit and the other lady is great harmony. Always was a strong Kendalls fan crushing on Jeannie.
Wow! Don't that roll back the years? Jeanie sounds awesome

@@kristycartwright5664 Hello. How are you doing?
I’m sitting here with covid. I Feel awful. I watch this and I felt temporarily better. I love country music, especially the proper stuff, like this.
This music brings warmth and happiness. It’s what I love about country music. A group of great singers sharing the stage and sharing their voices by coming together and making others enjoy themselves.
excellent voice..both
This song would make anybody feel better!
Awwww....Jeannie.....That Beautiful Voice!!
Where was you when you first herd this song. I was in the parking lot of burger chef in Bridgeport Ohio.
still beautiful and awesome, even better
I love that they're singing that song
One of my favorite songs growing up. And still is!
This song never gets old...one of my favorites
Hello dear how are you doing over there ? Greetings from 🇱🇷......
Yes girl you got that right
Mine, too. Ans boy, was i glad that You Tube had it ! Whoo-hoo !
Jeannie's voice sounds the same as when she first recorded this song!
10:4 just like back then she started
Jeannie, your as beautiful as ever. Always loved you. Thank you for sweet sweet music
This is one of THE few hit recordings in history; where it sounds JUST as good as the original. Truly awesome. They must have practiced long and hard to achieve such Godly perfection.
And of course, Rhonda could embellish a "stump on a log" and make it seem like a "Queen Anne classic". For she is truly a treasure beyond measure.
May Jesus brest Jeannie's father's soul.
What i saw in that performance was Jeannie Kendall a little nervous and Rhonda Vincent doing her best to make her as relaxed as possible. Jeannie had stepped back out of the lime light and to go on that show took a lot of nerve. Another thing as the harmony was fairly close and the fact that they might not have sung together that much Rhonda would keep a close eye to Jennie's phrasing. Over all I think it was a job well done.
With all due respect to Miss Vincet, Jeannie has the greatest voice for country music I have ever heard
Kendall's were awesome
Who's still loving this in 05/19
P C 10/19
This song will still be just as good in 2050. >
Darrin fills in for Royce very nicely despite the deadpan delivery
usafvet100 I always loved the Kendall’s but you’re right about Darrin. Every time I watch this he reminds me of a Mortuary person. Sorry don’t mean to be rude, lol.

A great combination of lead and backup vocals.
pure country, loved it
Jeannie has that 'Pure Country' sound that is Very Rare.....
Has for sure taken care of her Voice....
What can you say about Ronda Vincent! Amazing. And her Brother!! WoW!!
Jeannie great Rhonda NO!!
I liked how Rhonda was so captivated by Jeannie's singing she almost forgot to jump back in on the chorus 1:30
Brother didn't know the words. I think he needed a TelePrompTer ...
That Rhonda has a super voice, that lady can sing anything.
That band is so good,GREAT music!
That band IS outstanding. Darrin is too. But Rhonda is a dynamo. You name it! Whether it’s her talent with the instruments she plays or singing with anyone off the street she makes it all pure gold. Follow her on Facebook and you’ll see what I mean.
It’s been a very long time since I saw her with her father, but after listening several times I now clearly remember them.
What a treat to hear her now in 2021!
Jeannie was one of the absolute best in the country music business back in the day.
Here she sings, hasn't lost a tune or a note yet, all on camera and performing in front of this happy Fox news audience.
I played keyboards for the kendalls in the late 80s. It was my first artist gig in Nashville and they were two of the nicest people that I met in this business.
Rhonda Vincent has to be the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She has the voice of an Angel and could teach the younger ladies of country and bluegrass music a little about looking and acting beautiful!!!
