Yay Blue Reef Tank is my favourite Tank to watch on youtoobs! 🥰🐶 u tank look so much nicer now my frend! And u fish look very happy too! I like u pipefish! I hope u can find a girl for him so them can live happy ever after 🥰🐶
So so happy I found your channel. Super relaxing and informative at the same time. Would love a full copepod update video and how it’s done. Looking to setup a station too
I follow a lot of aquarium channels on YT and your videos are by far the highest quality. It's also great to see your Aussie based. Keep up the great work mate.
love this video! It's also very Asian style: filming the actor (yourself) without the face. Smooth music in the background, everything step by step including every detail. With all the patience of drawing an Asian calligraphy or pruning a bonsai. And with the cute little remarks written by yourself over the screen. Haha, keep making them!
I have the same scraper. One of the best tools. In order to scrub the rocks, I’ve also taped an electric toothbrush to the end of it in place of the blade.
Love your videos, I have yet own a marine tank, but watching your updates makes me feel that I am part of it, and it’s very relaxing to watch. And yes please do a video on your new live pods setup, the last few has been knowledgeable and used as a reference on how to setup and maintain cultures. Thanks for sharing!
Similar battle. Green hair algae, then cyano, then green hair algae and diatoms, haha. Every time I beat one, another one fills its place. I think my refugium was to blame. More cheato dying off than really thriving. Maybe the vibrant I have been dosing or poor lighting or some combination of both was knocking it out. Removed the cheato. I have been manually removing unwanted yuck in the tank and will be doing weekly water changes until everything looks sparkling again. Keep up the good fight!
Thank you for making my absolute favourite videos! I look forward to them so much. Side note, should you ever need an alternative to manual removal, Chemiclean works excellently for Cyanobacteria. So long as you turn off the skimmer and run an air stone for a day or two, I have never seen any side effects whatsoever- fish, inverts and corals always unaffected
Your rock tree looks almost identical to the one that is in my tank I made a few years ago!! I also have a 25g water box peninsula. My bonsai rock tree I made for zoanthids.
Quick question, at 4:42 you washed that piece with tap water. But I thought you cant mix any freshwater into your saltwater aquariums due to chlorine in it and stuff? Great vid btw. So relaxing 😌
looking good. really nicely filmed/ edited video one thing I would say... I find changing filter floss twice a week to be optimal (I think BRS did a test on this and agreed)
Look at your nitrates and phosphates. If your phosphate are higher than your nitrates that might be the issue with the Cyanobacteria. If that is the case try using some GFO to lower your phosphates and dosing some Neo nitrate Brightwell to raise your nitrates. Aim for getting your nitrates 10 times your phosphates. For example if your phosphates are .03 then nitrates should be 3 to 5 parts ppm.
@@BlueReefTank Thanks for the great video BRT! I'm an extreme amateur here, but could the cyano be a result of over-feeding? Your animals look very happy :)
I've been watching your videos for a while now and i'm always impressed by your tanks but i do have a question where did you find such a beautiful dragons breath, I'm in Melbourne as well and can't find any ?
I would love an update on your copepod culture. I set up my own culture after watching your video, two 4 litre jars, both doing well and I have a chubby Mandarin & Ruby Red Dragonet as a result! A question - how do you maintain the temperature as we head into winter, especially overnight. I’ve resorted to placing the jars in a dish of water with a heater, seems to working so far…
I reckon they are! One of them would "lightly" nip on the other occasionally but it didn't do any damage at all. The other one would also casually swim as if nothing happened 😅
It's a good video to show tank maintenance, but looking at your footage it seems like there's alot of natural sunlight coming through your tank. Maybe a bit to much over exposure with your lights coming on as well.
when you gave your over flow guard a rinse did you rinse it in tap water? or your faucet is filtered? don't know if I should rinse my stuff through tap water and dry it later. would it be safe?
Hi BRT, great video. Thank you! How many weeks to resolve the Cyanobacteria? I’m so tempted to add mandarin fish, I started culturing copepods. But I’m hesitating . New York
Will take you a long time to get rid of cyano weekly water changes are a mistake you will just fuel it even more your nutrients must be very low or bottomed out bring nutrients up as well. Dirty water is the way to beat it I tried everything nothing works but the dirty water method don't even clean the glass and it will burn itself out no water changes for few weeks 👍
awesome and hella inspiring videos bro! i was wondering where you get your fish, equipment, plants, etc? theres not much selection where i live so i was hoping to find someplace online. suggestions? much love.
I love your video's 😍 I have a question. I saw that you have a lot of light from outside, but I also saw your aquarium light on. Is it okay to leave the aquarium next to the window?
Just remember those types of razors should only be used on the side with flat side of the blade. You will feel the difference running the razor along the surface of a tile or desk at about a 30 degree angle, one side will want to grab into the surface and the other side won't. The side that doesn't "grab" is the flat side of the razor and is the one you want to use against the glass. If you use the wrong side you will find the algae grows faster and gets harder and harder to get off over time as you cause the surface of the glass to become rough. The rough surface of the glass then reflects more light growing the algae faster only now the surface isn't "smooth as glass" leaving a fine film of algae behind that grows back quicker and has a better hold on the glass.
Also quick question, how do you find two firefish? When I read up it says it’s not advised due to aggression, I would love 2 different types together but reading mixed options? Thanks
So calming to watch. Every piece of kit has its place, the order in your life is so satisfying. Keep up the good work and please produce more videos!
Just love your little Pipefish.💓Thankyou for this beautiful and relaxing video.
Video this weekend my frend?? I really look forward to see u tanks and fishies! 🥰🐶
I love this tank. The corals, the dragons breath, the fish/shrimp, and I absolutely love the shape of your rocks. So beautiful ❤

So Relaxing Music & Videos.
Impressive 👍🏻
This must have been one of the most relaxing and well made videos I have seen in a long time. Many thanks for sharing your lovely little habitat.

Love when people dont pretend like their tank looks 100% 24/7 haha. Cant wait to see your next upload!
I love your videos. I always feel relaxed after watching them. Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing it.
Thanks man!
Happens to the best of us. Sometimes as the weather gets nice we’re outside and the tank has to be on its own more. We know how much you care
Great editing, awesome clips, beautiful music!! EVERYTHING here was done amazingly and this has to be one of my favourite videos on youtube so far!
I have the same scraper. One of the best tools. In order to scrub the rocks, I’ve also taped an electric toothbrush to the end of it in place of the blade.
What a great idea!
Thanks for sharing I really love your videos ❤
Beautiful footage and relaxing to watch. Thanks
nice tank! l love the fish you have to
Great video as always, so easy to watch and so calming, I would love to see a video on your new copepod set up 😀😀
Will do!
relaxing. Beautiful fish.

Glad you like the videos Joel! I'll cover the new pods set up soon :)
Another stunning vid. As they all are. Keep up the great work please.
Thanks Setts!
Ohhh I love your background music…. ❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful Video!
Very relaxing and beautiful.
Bonsai reef tank 😉.
This tank looks like it's straight from Subnautica 🙌
I'd be very interested to see a video on your copepod setup!
Thanks for your amazing work!!! Its great!!!!
Just found this channel
This is so enjoyable to watch
Amazing video 🙏🏻
Very nice
Great to see the effort and love you have for this hobby and for your animals ! The tanks will pay you back ;) keep it up 🐠
Verv relaxing
Recall my tank going thru this one time all I did was manual clean and installed a uv . All the power of the uv was worth every penny I spent on it.
Fantastic😀
The best
Your videos are amazing

That pipefish looks really cool!
yes, do the copepod video please!!!! they are so benificial for all reef tanks.
Yes! Please make another copepod vid!
Yes pls make another copepod culture video pls!! Iove your videos!

Very Nice Nano
Great video! I’m currently battling dinos in my peninsula 25! It’s finally starting to look a bit better
really pretty

Yes please make another video of how you harvest your cope pods
Will do!
gefällt mir gut👍
A video on copepods would be good 👍
Great video! It's so calming to watch. I love the pipe fish, he's so cool! What's the glass scraper you used to get off the algae?
Thanks Bruce. It's just a standard freshwater algae scraper. I got it from ebay 🙂
This video is so satisfying and your tank lools very nice. Congratulations!!!!. I would like to know how you have done the copepod´s setup
Coming up next!
Beautiful video 😍, it might be Dinoflagellates at 10.12 it very much looks like it on the sand hopefully not🤞🏻.

Beautiful video as always ❤❤❤ can you share the digital co2 reader shown?
I literally thought that pipefish was a toy. I have never seen pipefish of that color here in the Philippines
I love how the tank has turned out! I'm looking to keep that Dragons Breath macroalgae you have. How easy is it to keep compared to corals? Thanks!
I really didn't do anything special to it. It's just like caring for corals in my opinion 😁
Omg’ those dragons 🐉 are very hard to keep
Hi there, what happened to this tank? I just bought the same one peninsula 25. Would love to see an update would be great
Awesome content as always! btw, are your firefishes a mated pair?
I reckon they are! One of them would "lightly" nip on the other occasionally but it didn't do any damage at all. The other one would also casually swim as if nothing happened 😅
Nice rock scape,👍👍Where did you get the kart
It's a good video to show tank maintenance, but looking at your footage it seems like there's alot of natural sunlight coming through your tank. Maybe a bit to much over exposure with your lights coming on as well.
Can you talk some more about Kalkwasser, can i use it without ATO ?
Love your videos!! It’s always something to look forward to! The new copepod set up is awesome! Does it not need very much light to survive?
Great vid! What siphon do you use?
where did you ge that turkey baster with the redtip?
when you gave your over flow guard a rinse did you rinse it in tap water? or your faucet is filtered? don't know if I should rinse my stuff through tap water and dry it later. would it be safe?
Hi BRT, great video. Thank you! How many weeks to resolve the Cyanobacteria? I’m so tempted to add mandarin fish, I started culturing copepods. But I’m hesitating . New York
I have been fighting the Cyano for a few weeks now and it keeps coming back. I hope it won't be much longer 😅
@@BlueReefTank I had Dynos. LFS told me to start over, but I refused. I finally beat it! Took a lot of patience.

Hi I really like your pipe fish is he adult size or will he continue to grow?
I reckon it's still a "teenager". It might be able to grow a bit more but if it gets too big, I will rehome it 😁
i have a question you have the nero 3 outside magnet in the salt water? does that work? is it completely embedded? Greetings from Germany
awesome and hella inspiring videos bro! i was wondering where you get your fish, equipment, plants, etc? theres not much selection where i live so i was hoping to find someplace online. suggestions? much love.
I usually get all my stuff from my LFS and not online unfortunately. Sorry...
Where did you get the dragons breath from mate? I’m keen to buy some
I love your video's 😍
I have a question. I saw that you have a lot of light from outside, but I also saw your aquarium light on.
Is it okay to leave the aquarium next to the window?
Wear did you get that rock scape from???
I would say buy a small siphon to remove more cyano more efficiently
I’d love to know where you got the coral stand
Is that a filter floss you put in the sock? If so, what brand? Or do you cut it to that size?
I changed the filter sock to a filter cup now. That allows me to use the filter floss 😁 Making it much easier to maintain
Can we get a link to the glass scraper? I've tried to search for that one.. the one I have is so bulky!
👏🤠

Try to razor blade ur glass only the way down and lift it on the way up to prevent scratches
Minus the Hipster Music, very cool video 😎
What are the rocks you used in the aqua scape¿
Could you put a link to the glass scrapper
Would you recommend the waterbox 20 or 25 peninsula for first saltwater tank?
Also quick question, how do you find two firefish? When I read up it says it’s not advised due to aggression, I would love 2 different types together but reading mixed options? Thanks
I just got lucky I reckon? 😅 I bought them when they were tiny and it was just the two of them in the tank.
Have you thought of adding some snails?
more*
What is the algae scraper?
Where did you get that power strip?
whats the name of the think you used to collect copepods where to buy
I always see cyano bacteria pop up when the customer uses tap water or they don’t use RODI water.
Thinking to start the same tank as yours. Just wondering without skimmer, do you have to do things differently in term of tank maintenance?
how often you feed your corals?
What happened to the firefish?
