It was decent but I would say it would be its weakness. That being said it was a 300 bucks phone… I got it new a few months later for 260 euros, I think. I used for almost 5 years and freaking loved it. Crazy really… too bad even Xiaomi is increasing its prices because otherwise that would be the best 400 dollars/euros phone each year.

I remember during that time in 2018, I just bought a Redmi Note 5 (with a Snapdragon 636). When I saw the specs and price of the POCO F1, my jaw dropped, and I IMMEDIATELY posted my Note 5 for sale. That was my reaction to this phone. As soon as I got it, I immediately installed Pixel Experience and turned it into a poor man's Pixel 3.

I know a person that had an F1.... Because I bought it for him 😂😂
I remember Oppo, Poco and OnePlus rocking up to the western market and releasing *_'flagship killers'_* for a very affordable mid-range price and those devices really shook up the market back then.
I myself had an Oppo Find 7A and I had that for 2-3 years before replacing it with a Huawei Mate 9. I picked that up about a year after it had been released and I didnt know it had already been out for a year as I had no idea sites like GSMArena existed back then. I saw the device in white and my heart fell in love with it and it was priced similarly to my Find 7A so I bought it as an upgrade. Its still in service with me today except it exists more as a mini-tablet device to listen to podcasts, watching youtube and some light web surfing while at home around the house. Needless to say the batterylife on it isnt that great anymore.

Mine is still functioning well. I have the base model in blue. Although I have used newer phones since, I have always kept this. I'm not sure about the screen issue, but mine was actually good, albeit dimmer than its contemporaries. Sometime ago there was indeed talk about the earlier batches of the F1 had a bad screen and that the better ones are those that were made October 2018 and later. Mine was manufactured in November 2018. In the camera department, yes, I agree that it was not that good, but it is a fact though that it bested the iPhones and Samsung of the same year and came out second best (I forgot which one was voted the best then; I think it was a Huawei) in MKBHD's blind camera test. Before F1 I had the Razr Phone, and prior to that I had every Galaxy Note series, so I had my share of experience in flagship phones. On the build quality, I actually have dropped it multiple times about hip level and once accidentally threw it about several meters out into a rough pavement and it survived. I don't use cases but I do tempered glasses, and it survived all those tortures. Yes, nowadays there are some compatibility issues with its OEM Android 10, but it still can pretty much run graphically intensive games (just not Genshin) at high settings. I already replaced its battery once, but it still can pull through easily 8 hours of screen on time.

I had this phone it was great. I really miss microsd. The poco f6 pro is currently only £287 in the UK, that's f1 value! 12GB+256GB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 120W HyperCharge WQHD+ Flow AMOLED. The 8 gen 2 has the benefit of being great for yuzu being their last supported cpu.

One of my close friends had one of those. It was fast, but that was all about it. The rest was mediocre at best.
I had a HTC One M9 (Developer Edition, 64GB internal) back then and the performance difference didn't really make up for the departure in quality.
It wasn't that much faster for daily tasks. App opening times were very similar between the M9 and the F1. The camera performance was night and day. The Toshiba 20.1MP sensor from the M9 was lightyears ahead of whatever the parts-bin-special 12MP sensor the F1 had.
Then i got Galaxy Note 9 (512GB) and there simply was no competition left. F1 and Note 9 were uncomparable.
I got mine used, still in warranty, so i got stuff replaced with new parts for free at the Samsung Service making it basicaly a new phone. (It was 300$.)
Idk, the Pocophone series never caught my attention. It was a lineup of mediocre phones with the latest SOC.
I always wanted the best possible thing at the lowest possible price. Buying used and within warranty is the best possible way.

Upgraded from an F1 to F3. One thing to keep in mind F1 had same camera sensor as Pixel 2-5a, the same 12MP sensor, with gcam it could rival iPhones when I compared it. And even compared to my F3, I feel F1 took better photos with gcam at night and low light

I'm using a Poco F2 Pro 8/256 version for almost 4 years now and it's doing everything as it should. On paper it has all the flagship goodies but the one big reason why I wanted this phone is it also has a clean display with no notches or holes. It has a pop-up camera and I like this design :)))

This phone is a masterpiece of poco. Until now poco is making valuable budget phone. Believe me or not this f1 handles psp,ps2,wii,switch, gamecube,3ds games in this time. It’s better than sd 695, helio g100 shit. This processor was the goated . And this phone just shocked everyone after releasing it only in 330$.

It costed 10k more but has sd855+, oled 90hz refresh rate screen, 50w fast charging and everything else, still retained headphones jack.. was released against OnePlus 7 as competition (which didn't include headphones jack).
Nowadays, 5years later i see it being sold under 20k inr. price range in online markets in India. Funny thing I saw it in Noon UAE for 2000aed. but for 12gb ram version..

Also whats just as surprising as this phone is the spigen case i put on it on day one, the thing is showing absolutely no signs of wear like its brand new.

I still have my Poco F1 purchased for 220€ and I use it as a retro handheld and I really miss that no other new device has been so balanced. It's kind of ironic I picked up this phone a year after it was released, since a good display is what I value the most on a phone. Its color accuracy leaves something to be desired (whites have a blue tone). Despite this, it's been my daily driver for 5 years, and I've had no major complains. It's a great phone.

By far the best phone ever owned, had everything and everything was solid, the camera was so malleable, one of the best photos I ever took was on this phone at night. I cannot think in any complain about this phone. Only missed to add one feature that was tremendously great even tho were removed in next iteration, its face recognition system, was awesome, even writing this on a 16PM I can say it was better, faster and equally secure than FaceID.
