I’m stoked about the 2.0 and simplifying the cards. The cards were doing so much work to avoid errata and to work around the size of the card. You’ll notice they’re bigger this time. That’s one thing I love about this channel is how Crabbok tunes into the mechanics and details. That’s an analysis that Team Cov lacks.

Just got this today as an early B-day gift and it's missing the flight stand to the X-WING... Cool kit but bummer that there isn't a flight stand. Is there any chance to get a replacement?
The new mobility of those wings are great, can't wait to get my hands on more of the 2.0 X-Wings and fly the likes of Luke and Biggs with the S-Foil mechanics.
Great video. I signed up for the GenCon 2nd Edition preview tournament (rebels). I like how you get a 2nd edition core box and a 2.0 Y-wing as well. Looking forward to learning 2.0 then roll right into a “tournament”. You have any insight to these preview tournaments during GenCon?

I guess this has been covered in plenty of 2.0 videos, however: I really don't like the look of the new "full size" upgrade cards. There seems to be so much blank space. We are going to need so much extra space around the playing area for these cards and I cannot see any benefit? I was hoping to get a good feeling for 2.0 with this expansion, so far, not impressed. Medium, bases huh? So in addition to the conversion kits I will need additional bases for some of my collection too? Still worth getting for the two animated model and the additional 1.0 cards though.
Conversion kits come with medium bases. Full size upgrades are made to fit “under” other card so you should have the same or less table space taken up by cards.

R4 astromech is small ship only. Not here. Advanced sensors new one says no more actions that phase. As its printed here makes vader too strong.
The Red Layer on the x wing subreddit there is a 2.0 google doc pinned to the top. At the bottom of it are known legal 2.0 lists (from demos etc) one of those uses the u-wing and T-65
having had the 2.0 core set Red 5 x-wing in my hands at UKGE, I think they may have slightly altered the model further since they produced the Saw's Renegades X-wing as the 2.0 Red 5's wings close all the way and open all the way where as all the partisan X-wings I've seen in videos appear to have a lot more stiffness in the s-foil hinge. has anybody else come across this yet?
I'm surprised they didn't give us the quick play cards in there. The aren't in the convertion kit for these pilots as far as i know. I wonder if they forgot or it didn't make it in final printing. Sort of like the other handle on AT-RTs in the legion starter box.
I was worried that was how the x-wing was going to be done. I have similar toys and I'm not a fan of that style of wing movement. I'm worried about the plastic wearing down after contestant use and then they won't stay open. But still glad to see movement in the game models.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I can only see the movable s-foils being a pain in the neck. They will likely not stay where you want them and it increases the chances of you breaking them. All for a pretty trivial cosmetic differences. After the first day people probably won’t even bother to align the model with the card state.
ReallyBigBadAndy76 You could favor to just represent the configuration solely with the cards instead. 🤔 confusing maybe but that's an advantage for competitive play, if a little unfair.
The s-foils on the x-wing work a lot better than I was expecting, it looks really well done for the size and price of these miniatures.

Where are the little cardboard tokens for 2.0? Does this mean 2.0 isn’t using tokens? That might get confusing...

They used some strange rubbery glue. I had to disassemble my X-wing and remove the glue. Now it works fine!
