Preschool Morning Circle Time | Sample Lesson

  • I recorded a sample Morning Circle time with my family so you could get an idea of how one can run.
I have to apologize for my chirping birds in the background. It was already filmed before I realized they're quite annoying. :) It is what it is.
    Links for some stuff:
    Educational Posters: amzn.to/3ftRPda
    Classroom Calendar Set: amzn.to/2R0hHE6
    Easel: amzn.to/3c4cwKH
    Pointers: amzn.to/3p1y67T
    American Flag: amzn.to/3c1N3BG
Floor Mats for kids to sit on: amzn.to/3wEde9q
My circle time is about 45 minutes total. 15 minutes of that is in this video, the remaining 15-30 minutes of circle time is devoted to our lesson time for that day which I didn’t record here.
The songs are pretty straight forward.
Months - pause on the current month and come up with an action or saying. We did suns for May. But October is ghosts. December is “ho ho ho” for Santa. January is “brrrr” for a cold winter. That sort of thing.
Days of the week: Tune of The Adam’s Family
    Weather:
Oh What does the weather look like today
Oh what does the weather look like?
Is it sunny or cloudy or rainy today?
Oh what does the weather look like?
    Flag Songs:
    You’re a Grand Ol’ Flag
    Yankee Doodle

I really enjoyed this video. I’m a new mom (Mom of 2) & I’m learning how/what to teach my kids at home. I need more of this and more structure, so this video helped me visualize what I’ll be teaching them soon. You modeled this perfectly and I’m so glad there’s mothers like you out there to help us (clueless) mommas out!!! I appreciate your support!!!! ❤

These are such amazing videos to follow! I’m a student in my 4th year of college and since the state of the world has gradually shifted the prerogatives of school, I’ve turned to resources found online to better my preparations to teach pre school in the coming years. As a male with experiences based solely from a pre student teacher standpoint, I found your videos both thought provoking and encouraging. I’m taking notes on every segment of each video on this channel and will be forwarding your videos to my fellow colleagues this fall! As a student from Lubbock Christian University I cannot thank you enough for exhibiting such a quality of life education for young students. ☺️☺️☺️

I’m a mom of a 3 1/2 year old boy and 1 1/2 year old girl. We’re “officially” starting pre-k at home in the fall, but I’m working now on getting them both acclimated with the concept of a more structured schedule. I’ve been hearing a lot about circle time and this video was just the type I was hoping to find. Thanks for the breakdown and sharing this with us! I subscribed and will definitely be watching for new content 🙏🏼☺️
