I have this placement. yes, I was noted to have a lot of patience as a child. I was the second oldest of 10 children and the only girl child. I was often expected to be very selfless, as my grandmother was. my dad really wanted me to emulate her. it was difficult, especially since my older brother bullied me a lot and any form of retaliation resulted in me getting punished, so I had no choice but to build tolerance. it also led to anger issues that was very hard for me to get rid of, but I did eventually and found sense of happiness instead. :) there was a noticeable bombardment of childhood messages on being "perfect," and it took me a long time to recognize and accept that I am a human being who is going to make mistakes, and it is OK. I think the point of this placement is to build a character that is able to persist no matter how insurmountable the task may seem. I recently worked an emotionally abusive, completely draining job and lost my voice which had been strong for all of my life. I'm a Saturn/Sun dominant so this was world-shattering. My Saturn Return has calmed my fire dominant, mars-chart-ruler, leo/capricorn stellium self and I no longer feel as lost, torn, or aimless.

I have Ketu/Mars in the 5th w/Rahu/Sat in the 11th. SO many energies there, I can't even start to explain! lol. Anyway, most of what you said was spot-on, Lada. Thankfully, I've learned to channel my anger well so I don't explode at any given moment (when I'm angry, I will let you know!). My confidence has also increased dramatically since I started weight training. I also love to walk/hike very long distances, so when I'm stressed this is a good outlet for me. However, I've never attracted abusive partner's and I was never abused as a child. One thing I do find extremely difficult initiating is making/keeping friends...but I'm working on it! Great vid :)

This is so accurate! I have mars - saturn conjunction in my ascendant. The way I couldn't express anger in childhood (otherwise I was beaten up) was most damaging for me. I went through many therapies and I am much better at the age of 45...😢 It's an extremely difficult configuration for the childhood and teenage years. Life gets better with age once you know how to navigate those energies in a smart way.
This is all true (mars opposition Saturn), my dad put me down every time I tried to accomplish something, it was never good enough. He would come to my concerts races etc and always comment on how other people were great and ignore my performance or say it was fine. If I got a 96%, why not a 98%? Nothing was ever good enough and he was also verbally abusive. It has made me really scared to try competitive things. This is a tough one--more obstacles on the path of the person, and usually they are attracted by the person because they feel like this is what they deserve. Just came upon this video. I have Saturn and Mars conjunct 25° in the 12th House Leo and it has been the biggest challenge in my life. Before I knew astrology, I would tell people that I felt like I was wearing a straight jacket most of my life with asserting myself, because I haven’t been able to until I got into my 40s. I had abusive parents, not just a little, I’m talking extreme. I also have attracted abusive relationships from both men as romantic partners and woman as friends. I feel like I’m on the other side of that now as I have learned boundaries and how to assert myself. The only bonus I see to these two planets being conjunct, is at least when they get aspected, it happens at the same time as opposed to dealing with twice as many aspects of they were in different houses and not conjunct. Lol gotta find the silver lining in it.

My good Christian upbringing dictated that sex was dirty but it lead to my website and book about Goddess sexuality and sacred sexuality because Venus is also in Taurus with this difficult aspect. I am very athletic. I have been in 2 abusive long term relationships. But I am very disciplined in steadily going after my goals and never giving up. I have this placement. yes, I was noted to have a lot of patience as a child. I was the second oldest of 10 children and the only girl child. I was often expected to be very selfless, as my grandmother was. my dad really wanted me to emulate her. it was difficult, especially since my older brother bullied me a lot and any form of retaliation resulted in me getting punished, so I had no choice but to build tolerance. it also led to anger issues that was very hard for me to get rid of, but I did eventually and found sense of happiness instead. :) there was a noticeable bombardment of childhood messages on being "perfect," and it took me a long time to recognize and accept that I am a human being who is going to make mistakes, and it is OK. I think the point of this placement is to build a character that is able to persist no matter how insurmountable the task may seem. I always say, "when your best is not good enough, that is when you get better." :)

Great insight as usual :) I have Mars trine Saturn, Mars is my chart ruler and Mars is in Virgo, the sign of my Sun. I'm going through my 1st Saturn return. I recently worked an emotionally abusive, completely draining job and lost my voice which had been strong for all of my life. I'm a Saturn/Sun dominant so this was world-shattering. My Saturn Return has calmed my fire dominant, mars-chart-ruler, leo/capricorn stellium self and I no longer feel as lost, torn, or aimless.

I have Ketu/Mars in the 5th w/Rahu/Sat in the 11th. SO many energies there, I can't even start to explain! lol. Anyway, most of what you said was spot-on, Lada. Thankfully, I've learned to channel my anger well so I don't explode at any given moment (when I'm angry, I will let you know!). My confidence has also increased dramatically since I started weight training. I also love to walk/hike very long distances, so when I'm stressed this is a good outlet for me. However, I've never attracted abusive partner's and I was never abused as a child. One thing I do find extremely difficult initiating is making/keeping friends...but I'm working on it! Great vid :)

This is so accurate! I have mars - saturn conjunction in my ascendant. The way I couldn't express anger in childhood (otherwise I was beaten up) was most damaging for me. I went through many therapies and I am much better at the age of 45...😢 It's an extremely difficult configuration for the childhood and teenage years. Life gets better with age once you know how to navigate those energies in a smart way.

This is all true (mars opposition Saturn), my dad put me down every time I tried to accomplish something, it was never good enough. He would come to my concerts races etc and always comment on how other people were great and ignore my performance or say it was fine. If I got a 96%, why not a 98%? Nothing was ever good enough and he was also verbally abusive. It has made me really scared to try competitive things. If I think I won’t get something for sure I don’t even try, because I have so much anxiety about failing. I hate putting together furniture as well lol and am only good at long distance and endurance sports.

This is a tough one--more obstacles on the path of the person, and usually they are attracted by the person because they feel like this is what they deserve. But little by little the person starts overcoming tough situations and achieving and with this confidene in personal abilities comes. Much of what you said is true for me. My father was an abusive alcoholic, mother was very religious and somewhat controlling, but very hardworking and never drank. The one thing I could control was my grades, and I was driven to excel, graduating class valedictorian. I still lack enough strength to stand up for myself at times and it still frustrates me. When pushed to the extreme, I find that courage and occasionally rage like a small volcano. But, having Jupiter in Pisces keeps me hopeful.

Just came upon this video. I have Saturn and Mars conjunct 25° in the 12th House Leo and it has been the biggest challenge in my life. Before I knew astrology, I would tell people that I felt like I was wearing a straight jacket most of my life with asserting myself, because I haven’t been able to until I got into my 40s. I had abusive parents, not just a little, I’m talking extreme. I also have attracted abusive relationships from both men as romantic partners and woman as friends. I feel like I’m on the other side of that now as I have learned boundaries and how to assert myself. The only bonus I see to these two planets being conjunct, is at least when they get aspected, it happens at the same time as opposed to dealing with twice as many aspects of they were in different houses and not conjunct. Lol gotta find the silver lining in it.

I have this. My Saturn degrees are above my mars so I think this calms my mars and Saturn can rule my temper. I was beaten by my father. My good Christian upbringing dictated that sex was dirty but it lead to my website and book about Goddess sexuality and sacred sexuality because Venus is also in Taurus with this difficult aspect. I am very athletic. I have been in 2 abusive long term relationships. But I am very disciplined in steadily going after my goals and never giving up. My Saturn degrees calms me from over compensating in over competitive nature.
