This is why I sold my Dominar and bought HONDA CB 350RS and never Regret my choice.
KTM Engines aren't as reliable as HONDA.
Many people have faced multiple issues with Dominar.
But the 2017 and 2018 models are good though. No issues in those models.
Yes the problem started when Bajaj added DOHC in Dominar. But failed to provide the quality and engineering.
I have an early 2018 one. 50K+ kms done, no complaints whatsoever. Just routine oil, filter and pads change thats all. Engine still has the same grunt as before, if not gotten more smoother.

My 2017 dominar engine seized due to coolant mixing.
Repaired and sold it off.
Now I’m a happy Yamaha R3 owner from 5 years & 50k kms
Still runs like new
Nothing can beat Japanese engineering and quality.

If u ever noticed the build quality performance of rs na dominar its really impressive but 220f and other pulsar series bikes are worst.....regarding ns rs dominar u have to maintain properly use right engeen oil and useit in a proper way bajaj bikes are powerful respect them they will respect u

Dude I have a ktm rc 390 2016.....model at 50k kms engine has never been opened.....the bike is well maintained and kept like brand new...... oil has been changed ever 6000kms....coolant ever 10k kms.....the clutch was changed at 30k kms once.......and the bike has done couple of trackdays too!!!!!....I don't know how your engine siezed at mere 12k kms!!!!😮😮

Hello, I am an Automobile Engineer from Bangalore.
I feel I didn't find any issue with your valves though. Why was the head changed? The valves seems absolutely fine the way it looked. You should have posted the issue of this bike first and then did what was necessary. I think it's a waste of money and time.😂

He have problem in valve guide... So valve have play.... It can be easly done by valve guide change at kharaad shop under 1500 rs. But as he had warranty he replaced whole head I suppose
This problem arised due to Shim Valve Clearance the service mechanics refuse to check Shim clearance according to periodic maintainence...
I am also staying in Bangalore Marathahalli and I have a 2018 model Dominar and have some problems but no one can solve to my problems so what should I do 😭 please help me bro

ABS light goes off when your speed is above 5kmph.. standstill pe light is visible in all dominars.

if your abs light is still on while you ride it means theres something wrong with abs and its not working but if the light goes off it means the abs is working prefectly fine.
For every bike.. you have to change oil in time for every 2000 or less Km and clean air filter . it will cross 50000km with no problems

I have the BS6 NS200. Clocked 22k in one year. Now the issue is i have a sound coming up from the head part like "chik chik chik chik" when i revv it. Like the sound starts when i revv it post 3k on the rpm. There is no issue performance wise. All well and good just like bought from the showroom. But the sound is annoying af. Also after long rides it remains noisy at idling 1.5k rpm. I checked the tappets with filler gauge but the tappets are fine. I am tired of finding the issue. The service center guys gave up. Says its a genetic illness on NS200s. But idk.
