    Eboh Media,
    That was a 💎 beautiful excursion to Ughelli. The town has been vibrant for a very long time. Even in the 1960's and the 1970's. Very oil 🛢️ rich and commercial center. Your visit to that materials/lace market is phenomenal. That sales girl (inside lace store 🏬)on 13:30 deserves every publicity she gets. Very vibrant indeed 😊. Thanks for your efforts 👍.

    Wow the amount of wealth in this place. It’s so sad to see this crude oil has been drilled for a long time in the region and the market isn’t even built to standard. The people who are stealing Nigeria’s commonwealth are cruel I pray the masses eventually get justice.

    Edit:
    The oil well illustrates the disgusting exploitation of Niger Delta People, an open oil pond is an environmental degradation that will adversely affect the health of the people. Nigeria is the only oil producing country that you see such grotesque mess called oil exploration polluting the environment in an open pond. Even an orangutan 🦧 can explore oil in a more intelligent manner that that black pond littered all over the place. Go to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Russia and see how oil are explored. This is deeply upsetting yet Delta have nothing to show for its oil wealth apart from the pollution.

    Delta has so many urban area it is a very difficult state to develop because of many urban area. Unlike some states where the state capital is the only developed city. In Delta u have Warri, Asaba, Sapele, ughelli, Agbor, kwale, Abraka, Ozoro, Oghara etc. Each of this places are better than most state capital in northern Nigeria. So it is very difficult to develop

    • @ebohmedia2459

      @ositamordi9799 2 роки тому

      Claiming that "Asaba has nothing much to offer" reflects your own ignorance and bias. I am from Delta North and I feel slighted by your irresponsible comment. If we Delta Northerners had our state and capital, it would still be developed and we would not be constantly reminded by people like you that we survive on your "oyel" which is far from the truth. Asaba apart from Warri is the greatest source of Delta State IGR and the third greatest source comes from Kwale also in the same Delta North.
      We know how much Asaba and other parts of Delta North were completely neglected until recently. We were not responsible for the relocation of the oil company Shell from Delta State and that was a significant blow to the economy of the state. What we should hope for should be good leaders. Leave Asaba and other parts of Delta North alone. If the resources of the state are judiciously used, everyone will feel the impact of the government positively.

    • @suntanglory
      @suntanglory 2 роки тому

      @@ositamordi9799 Listen to yourself then,"apart from warri"...Asaba IGR would have only increased since it became a state capital,warri probably still generate more and contribute more to delta state than Asaba..My point is from an economic point of view, warri as the capital of delta state would have been more beneficial to the state than Asaba and you know it.Everything is tribal in Nigeria rather than economic benefit to the people and country.The sea is there,a seaport in a state capital would have transform delta state and nigeria by now,the rail starting and termination station is there,that in a state capital would make much sense, oil exploration are closer,more of the people,the core of delta state etc.Common on, somewhere in your conscience you know it's injustice.lt's either that or divide the state in two,also ojoja state should be created from cross rivers state,they will still be bigger than Anambra state for example if divided, for the purpose of rapid development.

    • @ositamordi9799
      @ositamordi9799 2 роки тому

      @@suntanglory Instead of keeping quiet you decided to spew even more senseless claims. Now the question is this, would Asaba not have generated more IGR if it had been the capital of an Anioma State? Of course it would! So we do not own you anything and stop your insults against our people. This had been the case since 1991. Most of the IGR Asaba generates, is tied to its proximity to Onitsha. It has little to do with Warri. We were not responsible for your inter tribal wars that followed the relocation of LGA headquarters from Ogbe Ijaw to Ogidigben neither are we Aniomas responsible for your never ending conflict such as the Ogbe Ijaw vs Aladja. These were likely the issues that have stalled the development of Warri yet for more than 30 years you never stop taunting Anioma people. You are constantly reminded that we do not contribute to our state which is unfounded.
      If the government of Delta State is accountable and fair, Warri would still gain. If the port at Ugbuwangue in Warri is put into use (rather than this emphasis on Lekki) and traders in Onitsha utilize it, Warri will boom! Onne is doing that for Rivers. If the Escravos Gas to Liquid Project is allowed to develop like the Bonny LNG, Warri will boom. We all can still remember the dispute over naming of the Gas City at Ogidigben and the port at Gbaramatu just as we are still confused over which is the proper name Okerenkoko or Okerenghigho. If you lack the capacity to live and let live development will elude you. It does not have to be capital city. Work for the right person as the Governor who will work for the people and project interest of the state and ALL its citizens.
      If the Warri had not been so restive, Shell would not have relocated. In fact in 2003, Total was the first to leave Warri following the bombing of the Tank-farm in Warri South. Thousands of jobs were lost and these are paying jobs that boosted the local economy.
      If you had organized your demands for your own "core Delta State" and your never ending ethnic rivalries in your axis of Delta State, perhaps there would never had been any justification to lump us with you! Be a bit introspective and stop your nagging which you have been doing since the past 30 years. But of course, it is fine to dream but it should be sensitive to others. But you are sadly not.
      In the past, it was a deliberate policy to neglect Asaba and the entire Delta North at the expense of other parts of the state. You had you DELSOPADEC and that is not enough for you! You were happy when Asaba and Delta North was neglected since according to late Chief Benjamin Okumagba, Anioma people are "appendages" I will never forget such insults. But it is what it is.
      You don't have any point that makes any sense. You are just like the rest. A very SELFISH person who thinks his own only people deserve development. We also deserve development

    • @ositamordi9799
      @ositamordi9799 2 роки тому

      @@suntanglory What conscience? That 40% of the 13% derivation is given to DELSOPADEC for your own development and yet your own leaders put in charge of the agency still cannot account for the money given to the agency since the past 15 years. You should be ones to take a break and let us be! Anioma people are not beggars. And we are not begging to join your Delta State (if I should use that). Our Anioma state is FAR BETTER for us than anything Delta would offer us. But you will likely miss the stabilizing factor Anioma has brought to the state.
      We are among the most enterprising and accomplished people in Nigeria and we will survive. Anioma is also oil producing. In fact FIVE out of the NINE LGAs in Delta North are oil producing. These are the three Ndokwa LGA and two IKA lgas. Oil and gas has also been discovered in Oshimili South, Oshimili North and Aniocha South. These are awaiting development. Our land is relatively peaceful in Nigeria compared to other states.
      Maybe you are "Old School" but apart from the Ijaw and Itsekiri, Delta North contributes more oil and especially gas to the country's coffers. From the Okpai gas plant, the Kwale gas gathering plant, the the AHL LPG plant and free trade zone (second biggest in the country apart from Bonny), the SEEPCO tank farm at Okpai and flow station at Beneku and the new oil facility at Owa Alidinma in Ika North East, among others, Delta North is no longer "dry". It is a booming region with its fair share of oil and gas, an enterprising people and enjoys the proximity to the market towns of the East. Kwale even have a greater profile than Ughelli in the oil and gas industry. The only major cluster I know around Ughelli is at Utorogu. So we do not have issues if the state is split.
      But sadly, Nigeria is no longer in the business of state creation for now. Aniomas would not mind if we are given the slot of an Igbo state and merged to the Southeast. And apart from Anioma, Kaduna is one state that deserves to to split with Southern Kaduna merged to the North Central zone.
      So let us be. We should rather channel our energies to have good and fair leaders in Delta State rather than wasting time on issues that leads to nowhere.
