Not played for a while but since its masters week on the TGC, thought i'd have a quick round on the Magnolia national course (Thurs pins) Need to get some more practice...
The greens at Augus...sorry...Magnolia National are always so unforgiving! It's good that someone's recreated the course though. Do you know if many of the other famous courses have been recreated also?
uberanto Yeah there are a few good ones out there,but they have just added retaining walls and other stuff to the course creator and will be adding cart paths and stuff in may.So the real course renditions are just going to get better as the course designer progresses.
uberanto The guy that made this didnt just do it from off the top of his head,he used videos/photos/google maps and anything else he could use to get it just right,the course designer still has its limitations but its going from strength to strength.Even Greg norman jr tweeted about the design of this and said it is amazing just how acurate he got it.Even all the undulations on the greens and stuff are virtualy spot on.Theres another designer who does real courses and he just released whistling straights i mean look at the pics can you imagine how long it took to do all those bunkers:-) www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=9930.0
jim gem Incredible job! I mean, I've played Whistling Straits on Tiger Woods 14 but to create it from scratch using the designer must be painstaking to say the least - like you say there are hundreds and hundreds of bunkers by the looks of it. I think they're playing the PGA Champs there this year too.
Alex Bazzana Yes he did and it is another fantastic course,i may play it tomorrow and record the round.Havn't played it for a while and it's a great course..

jim gem I think Thank you, looks like nice. I think that at some point I'll have to buy this game. LOL I have the pirate version. The game still have this bug when you make a firm putt, but no too strong, and the ball pass over the hole and do not enter in the hole? I would not pay for a game with this serious fail. What if I buy FIFA 2016 and the ball do not enter in the soccer goal? Would be ridiculous. I hate this bug. D:
Yeah it will look great on TGC2' tbh this is why i havn't posted anymore videos lately, after being apart of the TGC2 closed beta.I don't think i can go back to TGC1 gameplay...

You do realise that the TW version is made by EA which is a multibillion dollar company with thousands of employees that use all the latest technology to render thes courses,This was made by one guy in his spare time' using google maps and videos/pictures.So for me that is one hell of an acomplishent.
Yeah if you want trees that look like plastecine or textures that still look like they are from the 90's.With an avatar who looks like he has arthiritis in his hands.Also this is the older version from 2015.There is a newer and better version of the course.
