This video is extremely good, it doesn't only raise a desire to buy this refill pack right away, it also has a great sense of humour which made me laugh several times. This is how a commercial should be made. :)
It is PRICELESS how these videos make fun of the musicians ego. Musicians that can't embrace new tech or open to new ways of creating music when the average listener could care less how your song was created but, weather or not they like it. Nothing wrong with being a "purist" but, not opening up to new ways of being creative seems a bit silly. I love the tech and these videos are hilarious.
Excellent presentations & excellent products. You have made 4 sales (R4 & 3 refills) through your well thought out presentations. Plus, I'm spreading the word. Signed, The converted Where converted = once only tactile instruments but now electronic too ;-)
@Matara yes you can, if I understand your question correctly. You want to import a midi file and play it back using Reason Pianos? Yes you can do that.
Not sure I understand the problem exactly. Here's a basic test, though. Create a blank document, create a mixer, then go to the Create menu and choose New Instrument... browse to the Piano Refill and load a preset. It should make sound.
I just went in the studio and recorded a baby grand with Neuman's ...while mixing, I thought I would compare Reason pianos, just for fun. It sound JUST as good, if not better sometimes (pop/rock tracks)
Nice! I like the idea of the various mic placements and level controls for them. Why no one else has stepped it up to this before now is beyond me :\ At 2:35 in the vocal booth... what mic is that?
Jus got the reason Piano refill and reason 5 which i've been using. i'm tryin out fr the past 2 hrs to get the refill to work, i route the nn xt with the combinator n it works, but when i load anythin frm the refill, there is no sound unless i bypass the combi, which means that it doesn;t work! is there somethin i'm doing wrong?? i'm a total newbie. Solution to this would really help!
I remember another video, with the piano riff that you hear at the beginning in this spot. where is that video? re publish it !! it was beautiful!!! : D
I think that is the whole point of the Reason approach is that there are already killer classical soft pianos ("Ivory" for example), but do not sound right when you are playing other styles of music, (jazz, rock piano, blues, new age)
Ah... I've been thinking of hitting the Rode NT2A. Is the original NT1 better than the 1A version? (I know this is a subjective question according to what sounds best to your ears...) I'm thinking of using an M-Audio Tampa when I have the money to pair up with whichever Rode I get...
I bought Reason 5 and put on license and all was good. And this refill is free for users Reason 5 because when I want download this it's failed and I see some error :(
I cannot believe these have been released in 2008. 10 years ago. They still sound absolutely fabulous.
It's 2016 and I still use these piano refills.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Propellerhead has the best ads on the planet.

At 5:26 this guy looks like he's been up 3 days straight hyper sampling a piano and misses his wife and kids.

So it's 2024...where's my beef piano?
@shinjiemisato You shouldn't be playing classical on a MIDI keyboard anyway.
I like beef pianos.
