- Electric Callboy are a phenomenon in the metal scene, and due to some crazy timing I had an opportunity to do a little experiment with their music and music video!

Hey I’m Josh from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a proud father of 3 and passionate about heavy music.
I was the bass player for post-hardcore/alternative rock group Capulet from 2004-2012, releasing an album, EP and several demos.
Capulet were signed to the Taperjean Music Group alongside Closure in Moscow and The Mission in Motion.
Highlights of my music career were playing with amazing bands like Anberlin, Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Haste the Day, Awaken I Am, and touring Australia several times.
I wasn’t the most technical bass player, but lived for performing on stage. I have always loved the process of song writing and the visual art that accompanies music.

I love this song. The darkness of the video reminds me of Crystals. I also became a fan after watching Hyper Hyper but I seem to like the serious songs more than the funny ones, although I love them all. I also love that Kevin is more prominent on this song. Nice reaction Josh.
This track is absolutely a follow up to Crystals. The video also has that darker black and white theme.

I think it's normal for the video to make the music sound "better", but that goes for any song, the video brings more entertainment than just listening to something.
Great reaction as usual! I agree - the video is more an artistic representation of the song than a story in itself, whereas the comedic videos often are. Nevertheless, it is high quality work. I note it is not by the Schillo brothers this time. One thing I really do appreciate about the video (having bought the album as soon as it was released, so I’m familiar with this track) is the representation of the mindreaders as either alien beings or supernatural creatures, as the lyrics alone are somewhat uncomfortable to me as a female listener, though I appreciate they are referring to a fictitious situation for the dramatic story told by the song, rather than representing the band’s views, and even among female listeners I might well be in a minority to find them unsettling. It’s a similar balancing treatment to what the Hate/Love video did in that respect, albeit with completely different imagery. Musically, it’s a powerful and involving track as I’d expect from EC, and I think the melody of Nico’s chorus follows an intentionally unexpected, unsettling pattern (or maybe that’s just my perception again!).
Interesting experiment. The song itself ist so great, but to listen the song and watch the video it‘s so much better. It‘s epic!

While it's a little hard to take these guys seriously, I do love this song and a change of mood is always welcome. It's still them and I love the video. btw What a shame that Jinjer won't be coming to Adelaide ! Cheers Josh.
I think it’s more that the just know how to match visuals with the music very well. Some bands make music videos that are cool but seem like they just made it for the sake of making a music video. Kevin has said they tend to have ideas for the music videos when making the songs so it’s like a synonymous feeling right from the beginning rather than an after thought

I enjoy the song more without the video. The video is cool but the flashing light is too distracting. Can’t wait for your reaction to Parasite.
