Fine, but that would be an absolute sht nurse. Whatever their relationship is, it wasn’t his place to do that.

I’m a veterinary nurse & I regularly go & hide in the radiology-room, because stupidity hurts my soul more than radiation.
😅😅😅😅I used to work in a library. When I first started working there, a seasoned veteran told me this - the general public are stupid. I thought maybe she was being a bit harsh, but going by the requests for basic instruction on how to use the photocopiers, I tend to agree 😅😢😢😅❤

Oh so another 2 faced health care worker judging talking shit about some one behind their back
I understand that you guys put up with A LOT. However what gives you the right to judge patients calling them stupid and such? Your job is to help. If they're mean I get it. Ignorance on the other hand isn't always the patients fault and you could educate rather than degrade. Smh
@@gachaluna2708 You have no idea how little you know about the human condition. Or what ER personnel put up with. Until you've seen what they deal with, and understand the endless hours they work, and the way their supervisors ignore the conditions they work in, you have nothing to shake your head about. Educating the willfully ignorant is useless, as they will not listen or learn. Steve is actually sugarcoating what he shows, and leaving out the WORST of it.
@@johnrussell5592 So because I said that I understand that you guys deal with a lot and go through a lot. And have to deal with patients that aren't the best doesn't give you the right to treat people badly. You're basically calling me ignorant but I don't know what i'm talking about okay

"You guys deal with a lot and go through a lot" doesn't even begin to cover the drop-dead-proud-aggressive-dumb-f*ck-harmful- ignorance-and-how-dare-you-tell-me idiocy healthcare workers deal with today.
If a healthcare worker calls in sick, it's typical to hear, "We have nobody to cover for you!" as if self-care is bad, and coming to work sick is good, or noble, or wise.
Parking garages in hospital and medical office complexes have huge signs now warning people to not leave children in the car.

After Colonel Sanders left the US Army, it wasn’t until decades later that he founded KFC. Whether a person lived on their own at 18 or 50 isn’t yours or anyone’s business. Maybe if our government raised the minimum wage to something remotely livable, then we can stop living off our parents. And let me prove to you why minimum wage needs to be greatly raised. The average American salary in 1930 (which as you know was the beginning of the Great Depression) was about $4900. Now that doesn’t sound like much. But if you adjust $4900 in 1930 to the US dollar today is almost $90,000 a year. $90,000!!!! You wanna know what the average salary in America is today? It’s not even $60,000. When you take taxes into account, $60,000 a year turns into less than $40,000 a year. Make no mistake BOOMER, we are currently in another depression. It’s not the faults of millennials and Gen Z that we can’t live on our own. Boomers and Gen X climbed to the top of the corporate ladders and then kicked the ladders down. You can’t put a glass ceiling on top of two generations and blame them for failing anything.
@AWoLPYKS interesting. I do agree with a lot of what you said, however what does that have to do with my comment?

@@HarleyQuinn_93You sound sane.
These videos are great, always make me laugh. I've been to the ER once for severe pain. Turned out to be a kidney stone. Only time I've ever had IV pain meds, pain was bad enough i actually threw up on the way to get imaging done. Nurse at the front desk actually guessed what was wrong as soon as they saw me unable to sit or stand, curled up on the waiting room floor. Glad my wife was able to drive me and check me in.
Yup..... Kidney stones = worst pain a male can experience.😉
Count me lucky, ig. Got a kidney stone once, and all it really felt like was getting punched in the gut, or severe constipation. Got me to buckle over a bit, but could still walk. For context, I'm a male.
Dont get me wrong, it sucked. Like, some of the worst pain I've ever felt, but nowhere near enough to incapacitate me.
'because everyone is dumb' true words of wisdom here 😂
It’s the dead inside “I’m so sorry to hear that” that gets me every time 😂
I feel like at least 70% of these people who go to the ER could’ve just gone to urgent care instead 😂
Most of them don't know the difference; and the ones that do may choose the ER because they can game the system on costs. Most urgent care you have to pay out of pocket immediately; while an ER has to treat you and then can send you the bill later, which you can ignore and just take the credit hit.
You only do urgent care if you are aware of the difference and you can afford it. ER is for idiots who don't know any better or poor people who can't be refused service at the ER like they can be at urgent care.
What’s the difference (asking as a non-American)
THERE'S AN URGENT CARE????????
How about a psych ward
@@LaurenPebble Urgent Care are private clinics that take walk-ins without appointment. You have a problem that you want to talk to a doctor about and it's not an "emergency" you can go to an Urgent Care, have them evaluate it and decide what to do next. Compared to a normal doctor where you would need to make an appointment and wait for it. Both are a GP (general practitioner) and will help you diagnose your symptoms, decide if you need medications or guide you to a specialist for long term care of a specific problem. You would go to either urgent care or your regular GP and decide what steps to take next. Private clinics (whether normal appointment types or urgent care non-appointment) can decide whether to take you on as clients, and they require payment either by you or your insurance. Urgent care tends to be a bit more expensive.
An Emergency Room is part of a hospital, they are where you bring major trauma or life threatening injuries that need immediate response. Broken bones, lacerations, heart attack, any major trauma that obviously needs immediate care or wound treatment. Emergency rooms, by law, can not refuse patients. However, the standard of care is "Stabilize and release" as they are only required to provide the absolute minimum of service that stops the life threatening event.
Basically if your life is at risk or have a wound that needs immediate treatment, that's what an Emergency Room is for, they can't turn you away and they'll get you stabilized and help decide what to do with you next. Hospitals have various other clinics, out patient, in patient, and specialist that you may be passed along to after you're done in the ER, but they can turn you away from the other services without insurance.
If your issue isn't immediately dangerous you typically want to do either Urgent Care (same day) or make an appointment with a private clinic, you'll generally get more personalized attention and evaluation. But if you need to bandage a bad wound, cast a broken bone or deal with some other "I'm gonna die" now injury, an ER will patch you up; though they might just shove you right back out onto the street once you're stable.
If you’re going to the hospital to get 7 up you need to stay home. If you’re going to refuse interventions and self treat go home.
GINGER ALE.
Like, really why would you? The bills are enormous anyways...
Yeah, like why didn't you already get some 7Up yourself if it's such a great treatment?
7 up and ginger ale can make stomach aches worse by introducing more bubbles into the gut or do nothing at all to help or hurt it's really a coin toss on what will happen

It's an attempt at finding comfort, but the soda doesn't actually do much and can actually make things worse. A lot of the tests are done better with nothing in the stomach which makes it easier to find out what's wrong.
If you find yourself in this situation, please resist the urge to drink the fizzy drinks! They will not give ypu any relief compared to what medical professionals can give you.
This comment should be pinned. People need to be reminded of this common sense advice.
Depending on the problem it does help. I've been given Sprite and cola syrup in the ER for my stomach issues. Pain meds usually make most none trauma related stomach pain much worse, since one of the side effects is stomach pain. That's why you're advised to take them with a meal.
As a kid l was never told to drink soft/soda drink to ease a stomach problem. My mum told me to drink chamomile herbal tea. But it's probably because l live in Australia and not America. And my parents grew up in Morrocco, North Africa.
How does sugar water help a stomach ache?
@@CaptPoco Back in the day, Coca Cola had real coca in it, and Ginger Ale had real ginger, both of which help with nausea. Nowadays, the sugars help replenish some of the minerals you lose from sweating/vomiting, and give you energy so you don't feel so crappy.
