    That quad sitting outside baking in that texas sun is going to melt away your balls when you sit down on the seat.😮😂😅

    Just installed mine. Thanks for the How-To. After install, my machine is showing -- instead of a P in park. Should I just re-install cause I did it wrong or do these require you to adjust it down at the gearbox?

      You will need to adjust the shifter linkage just above the gearbox. Thanks for watching and glad this video helped you out!

      @@Story53s I ended up totally 7nhooking the top linkage just to see how far i would need to adjust it. Even with nothing hindering it, it wouldnt go into park just by moving the linkage on the gearbox. What i found was when i put it in park, i have to give the machine a gentle rock backwards and the "P" appears on the dash.

      Sorry I just now saw your reply. Yes that is the infamous CanAm rock. You will notice me rocking the machine to shift or blipping the throttle a little to get it to shift gears.

    I am totally new to this world of can ams, I have an xmr 1000 2016, what would you recommend I do or check to make it work perfectly, and another question, to keep the heat out of the plastics and not burn more

      Check your fluids often. Especially rear diff. I change mine every couple rides. Clean and inspect clutches. Check and change air filter. Keep up with maintenance. If your going to be riding in deep water have your snorkels smoke tested every so often. I wear pant most of the time when I ride because of heat. But I have also gotten the reflective heat tape and applied it to my plastics that are near the exhaust. Most importantly get out and ride. Thanks for watching!!

    Where did you get the aluminum shifter plate?

    Where did you get that air box gasket from? And how has it held up so far? Great video and thanks!

      The one I used in this video is from quad logic. I also have one from OMC on my other quad. Both have held up well. The benefit is a good tight seal that keeps water and mud out of the air box.

    It’s been how many years you would thing they would sort out the two issues

      I want to say 2012 was when they first released the G2 chassis. So 11 years and these two issues are still present. I have a feeling that next year we may have a whole new big bore CanAm.

    why is the aluminum bracket better?

    • @Story53s
      @Story53s  Рік тому

      The plastic one get fatigued from the heat made by the machine. It will get so fatigued that it actually breaks when you go to shift. The aluminum does not get fatigued.
