There's no such thing as "best" troop, the idea that infantrys are the best troop was ingrained into players during the early days when other troop types were not viable and now it's stuck with the players. Another reasoning I see why f2p should go for infantry is because they require food/wood to train and heal and stone is considered "premium" resource compared to those two. Whoever came up with that bs forgot to take into account that you need significantly less stone than food/wood to train/heal cavs and archers. Then there are people who run stacked infantry marches with 8 slotted legendary equipment and a bunch of epic/legendary mixed shit for archers and cavs and say those don't trade as well as infantry. I run 1 inf march Liu/Alex with 8x legendary equipment and 3x special talented, 1 cav march either Nev/Joan or Huo/Joan with 8x legendary and 2x special talented and 2 archer marches, 1 of which is fully crit and the other is 3/8 crit. My main archer Zhuge/Herman trades consistently better than all other marches which is not surprising but my secondary archer Ashur + 1 (depending on my mood I pair him with different commanders) march trades on par or better than my inf and cav marches.
I think it mainly comes more down to the sort of player we are talking about. I agree I wouldn't invest in Scipio right now. But when it comes to Alex and Wallace. Most players are actually performing better with Alex and that's due to how fighting mechanics work in Rok and the fact most players don't plunge themselves into a murderball and not pull away
New commander Idea, Cav/versatility/mobility : Active : Rage requierment ( 500 ) 1800 skill damage, 50% slow for 5 seconds, self-silence for 3 seconds
2nd skill : 30% cav march speed 20% cav defense 15% cav attack 3rd skill : 20% cav health If on map: 60% chance to when hit with a slowdown: Dispel the slow, and deal 1000 damage to 3 nearby targets Deals 15% more dmg against slowed troops 4th skill : If this commanders troop only contains cavalry units and has not taken counterattack damage for 5 second: 20% skill damage 20% march speed Buffs get dispelled 8 seconds after taking counter attack damage
Expertise : Augments 4th skill : If this commanders troop only contains cavalry units and has not taken counterattack damage for 3 second: 35% skill damage 20% march speed Buffs get dispelled 10 seconds after taking counter attack damage
So basically its a secondary commander (cuz mobility is a sh#tty talent tree and is u use him as primary the secondary commander active skill becomes useless cur of the silence effect) but 1800 (single target i suppose) its pretty lame, 3 skill instead or deals more damage to slowed troops i think should be just deals more damage for like 5 sec and then a 3 sec cooldown, and for the last skill (how can u not take counter attack damage, i mean)
One of the 4 best inf commanders to ever have been released. If I had to rate the 4 most impacting inf comm released all time, in order, LC, Scipio, Guan, and Alex. Scipio broke the inf meta when he first released in the pairing of him and guan. They were straight diesel then 💪💪💪💪

I bought YSG third relic. Scipio AOE wins over any single target commander. I prefer Lui Che Alex though
