Thanks for the video. I agree with your calculations for field fighting. As far as Seige goes; I have Gonzalo maxed and Margaret at 5535. I also have Barbar and Gaja at 5511. Margaret gives Gonzalo the ability to escape in order to preserve your trade ratios. If you don't care about getting away and want maximum damage, use Gaja with Gonzalo. My siege march is my highest yielding march. Better than my two expertised infantry and two Cavs and one Archer. Seige is very useful
Really love this style of video comparing equipment sets mathematically 🔥🔥 Wondering if you can go 1 step deeper and do a BIS list for equipment on each of the different meta marches for field, garrison, and rally? Or breakpoints in Health and Defense from commander skills + armaments where one set becomes superior to another? Commander skills bring different amounts of defense and health, which changes the calculation. For example, Gorgo + Hera's skills bring +60% Health and only 15% Defense, while LC + Alex brings +0% Health and +70% Defense from skills + museum. So an equipment set that sacrifices total tank stats to have a higher health : defense ratio, like Glorious legs + boots, will be much better on a LC + Alex march than a Gorgo + Hera garrison. Love the channel!
I’m an archer player and agree with the ultimate set you listed. As you get more KVK prints for the weapon and helm and move towards level 5 the difference becomes even more pronounced.
one of the biggest things for garrison is that you've always got hera secondary and some amount of mixed troops so the leadership gear being stats for all troops is really nice too

I would say that for your archer gear, you could get a bit better tankiness using Spartan gaming's build of Pride of Khan (Yes, I know it is meant to be a cav piece, it has 8% archer health tho!), DB plate and boots, Hydra's w/ gauntlets and chausses of the glorious goddess. If my math is mathing, you should get 3% attack, 41.5% defense and 27% health, wherein your recommended set for archer open field would net 15% attack, 34% defense and 26% health. One can argue small differences, but isn't the point of min-maxing to get every single point of the best stat we can? With the chase stats being health and then defense, that might work a bit better for some people. Someone please feel free to fact check me here if I happen to be missing something! The "best" set you recommend is the best in a vaccum. Best in slot players will have 12+% health and 15% health in skins/armaments. In certain scenarios the orginal BIS inf set is still the best.

for f2p to low spenders you have to take into consideration how long it will take you to get blueprints needed and not just overall stats for example for archers i decided to go with milkyway and ians choice bec the blueprints just fall into your lap without much effort i only have to chase leadersahip blueprints and kvk blueprints

Yeah, but I run Wu/Liu for infantry march, and most of my troops are cavalry. So I need to boost some walking speed, or I’ll only be able to fight with cavalry and archers. Losing 3% tankiness and taking 5% worse trades is still better than not being able to fight at all, and the other option is way cheaper, so I can focus on awakening and crit gear.

I see. I shall give credits to Wick gaming in future. I found about this formula from Fleisch's sheet first time. And contacted Speckoh (creator of RoK simulator) to understand it deeper. And I thought the formula was provided by Lilith to public. Never knew Wick calculated the formula himself, not provided by Lilith.
I added this calculation later on. It was really good viable option as well! It performed right in the middle between the 2 equipment I showcased here. So as compared to 3 leadership gear, you are losing tad bit tankiness but gaining tad bit punching power.

At Awakening I, leadership gloves give +4 base defense - rather than +4 base attack like other gloves. For an infantry field set, curious how you feel about: KvK helm, Hope Cloak, Infantry shield + boots, Leader legs + gloves And for infantry rally/garrison, curious what you think about: KvK helm + hammer, Hope Cloak, Eternal Night, Leader boots + gloves Basically, is it worth using leadership gloves for the +4 base defense increase, and then using either leader legs or boots to complete the 2/6 set bonus? At awaken II: Eternal Night has 16% defense vs Leadership legs 10.5% health (~1.52 defense : 1 health) Infantry boots have 11.5% defense vs Leadership boots 8% health & 1.5% attack (~1.44 defense : 1 health + attack)

Everything except commander stats which includes talent stats as well. Kvk max tech only considered to verify rally and garrison situation. So its civilization base stats, legendary gear iconic base stats, alliance tech, war tech, vip bonus, building bonus, holy sites. I do think that the gear can be different depending on the commander pairs but I just havent looked into it. For example gorgo+constantine garrison (just random example) they may still wanna have the old meta gear instead of the leadership gear.

But what I’m interested are the next videos, where you’ll need to take care of counter damage (200/turn), basic damage (200/turn), normal damage (counter+basic damage combined), active skill damage buff (from 4k to 10k every 7 to 10 turns), all damage and most annoying of all: rage generation buff🤯, I’ve subscribed to see if and how you tackle you’ll have fun with that😉 good luck
Thanks man! The damage formula actually can represent normal atk dmg and counter atk damage. So this video can represent the solid basics how to say. However, as you say, it doesnt represent commander specific buffs, for example martel or hera counter attack damage boosts, talent tree RNGs such as rage generation etc. I think your comment gave me a very good idea that when I do "Commander Review" videos, I shall include the math calculation and not only suggest pairs but also equipments. 😁 Thanks again man!
Infantry and cavalry gear is ok. But in archer i only have 2 option 6 set pure archer but look at the stats of 6 set pure leadership almost better stats than the full 6 archer.
But if you are f2p or low spender choose the most convenient gear like soc gear, chest gear. Inventory gear is optional so choose wisely what's the better stats :)
nah if your seige you only want is attack not def or health,. you just need to position your self much better, and you dont need to tank, you just need to KS in every clash thats it, also legendary can be awaken,. im not sure if your a player of ROK,
Its britian vs britian on 6 set vs 3 leadership gear. If i compare brit vs otto, britian has -2.9% less trade potential and -4.7% less tanky with 3 leadership gear.
That is actually quite vaible option. I added the set at the bottom if you wanna see it yourself. It is performing slightly better than the 3 leadership combination but losing 1% tankiness as you are sacrificing 10% HP. I would still prefer the 3 leadership combo unless you are playing ZL and Shajar combo which gives +65% HP which equalizes the total Def and HP stat for max performance.
I think the set you just mentioned is the best in slot for ZL and shajar actually for some wierd non meta combo for ZL primary and shajar secondary. This is just speculation but sounds quite strong. The other best sets doesnt fulfill this commander comb9 to its fullest.

Unlucky i didn't see that comment earlier 😭 I did calculate dmg and tankiness myself, and you are right, 3ls+milky way is the most tanky set (i came up with 230764,1 vs 228335,8 tankiness for non civ). I was using everythingrok calculator for dmg, and it came out to dealing 4 more sevs/turn for getting 2 more sevs/turn for 2/2/2.
and i didn't include crystal tech, once you implement it 3 ls will come out on top, i hope this video will reach more people, so my future 3ls+milky way won't look so weird 😅

Sad thing is so hard to make changes when you already have your sets. Game punishes you for destroying legend equip.
