Tried looking up the study, failed so far. From what I know the huge amount of data we have so far suggests almost everyone gets aroused by gay,lesbian,straight and she-male porn, as scientists explain it, its just how our brains are wired to respond to something that is coded as sexual. Having gay men be an exception to this would have a lot of weird implications. This again, ofc, doesnt mean any of the people arent gay/straight etc. However Im aware there seems to be a lot of anxiety and pressure about presenting masculinity in the gay community which might be connected to the whole issue, where they try to supress the attraction or pretend it doesnt exist out of fear of being rejected by the community for being attracted to a guy whos very feminine presenting. Idk if i explained what I mean very well.

Lumi, you don't need to defend yourself when people compare you to James Charles. The problem wasn't that James was hitting on straight men, it's that he was manipulating them. James was in a place of power as a celebrity, forcing men to sleep with him because he was famous. If you, me, or any other LGBT person hits on a straight guy and we don't force ourselves upon them, it's fine. Hitting on people is harmless. Manipulating them into have sex with you because of your status, is not.

I agree Lumi and James are completely different situations. But hitting on people can be harmful, and needs to be done with care. One of the issues with JC was that he was hitting on people agressively, persistantly and in innapropriate situations. Demanding other peoples attention because you like them can be incredibly rude and imposing.
