Thank you thank you! I take a pretty slow and methodical approach because I think taking the time to slowly build upon things is a good strategy for the long term! Thank you again for the kind words!

"Feel out and get better with"?! You mean I have to play this game to know what I'm doing??? Dang it.. I hoped one video would make me mythic plus ready. ( /s ) Nice walkthrough for play of resto dps.

What is that addon on the right that shows upcoming damage and mechanics trickling downwards?

    Nice video for beginners!
However, I have some points / questions :
    - I would not recommend using Rake when being in stealth. Stunning an add at the start of the pull can become quite problematic when your tank is setting up the pull. It would often result in having the add you've stunned far away from the pack, making it hard to dps/interrupt/etc. I would use Shred instead to benefit for the 200% DMG buff it gets when in stealth.
    - Small point : starfire becomes worth at 7+ targets
    - I don't really get the point of the cancel cast macro but maybe I'm missing something. If you cast an ability that is not cat form related, it automatically skips the GCD right? Let's say I'm in cat form and use Sunfire to refresh it on a pack, how does the macro change anything for me except adding another step? ^^
Anyway, I'm looking forward for the advanced guide.

      - That is a good point, but not ALWAYS relevant. Not every pull needs time to gather, also try to learn which mobs in dungeons are immune to stun so you can still Rake from stealth
      - It's not just 7+ targets. With Liveliness, it's only worth in HOTW at 8+ targets, never out of HOTW. With MS it becomes worth at 8+ targets without HOTW, 6+ in HOTW.
      - You're right about just pressing Sunfire or any other caster spell, if you have them all available in Cat form bars.

@@xface2face do you have any website that says when it is worth to cast starfire? I always saw 7+ no matter what talents you have but I'm really looking for that kind of micro details to increase my DPS.
Also, I always wondered when it is not worth to put your moonfire on every mob but instead, just sunfire and spam starfire when there are many mobs. It seems more efficient due to the time you save setting up your moonfire on every mob.
Most guides don't go as far in the details.

      1. Rake versus shred - this is a great point! Making a video guide about this was a bit difficult since there are so many small nuances like this to point out. You’re right, in that instance, you can troll your group. This is definitely NOT what you should be doing if you are stunning a target that is going to cause issues grouping the mobs.
      2. Starfire - there are a lot of small nuances with this ability and while I mentioned it, I really do not like pressing that button even if I am in a good scenario for it (there are a lot of small reasons why) and like xFace pointed out there are lots of times that HOTW changes the priority of starfire as well as Liveliness and MS. I did not want to get into these target count specifics due to the nature of it being a video guide and since it is targeted to beginners it is, in my own opinion, better to give people simpler ideas that they can expand on later.
      3. In my own gameplay, there are plenty of times that I do not want to cast a spell but want to benefit from the shapeshift form (cat speed, bear armor/hp) but do not intend on casting a spell while in that form and the cancelform macro gives me the flexibility to save GCDs and never be locked into an ability that I do not want to cast (spending mana on a spell that might just be overhealing). However, I would not use a cancelform macro if I needed to reapply moonfire to a target or sunfire in your example, I would just use my sunfire keybind.
Hopefully this makes sense - there are a lot of small optimizations that you can use a cancelform macro to do and I could not imagine playing this game without one. A lot of these have to do with camera and character movement (if you use mouseover macros).

So, that is not a public weakaura as it is part of a weakaura package from Zmok. If you are interested in getting that, I would look up his stuff on UA-cam/twitch!
Or are you talking about on the nameplates via the addon plater?

Bro we need dps trinket guide for S4. Im actually transitioning from pure support heal build for resto druid (mastery&haste priority) to a dps+heal build (versa& haste) and also changing talents of course,
Buy my dps is aweful, even doing everything you said i stay around 45k MAX. I still have one ring that doesnt have versa for embellishments.
First, my heals are far less powerful than with the mastery build (I'd do 200k heals and able to keep everyone at 95% health even on heavy fights at 24+ keys), but bow I'm top making 95-110k max and most times 75-85k, and if groups take heavy ticking damage its hard to pull them back up.
I mean I don't know how to defend this build when it really doesnt have much benefits with my current gear.
I dont have damage trinkets either and the missing versa from the ring may make the difference but I don't know.

For me to be able to diagnose what is going wrong for you, I’d have to take a look at your gameplay. If you record a dungeon run and think it’s a good visual of your average run, you can submit it for review in my discord!
You can find my discord link in the description of the video, but I’ll have to check to make sure it works.

its not wrong. usually you can use natures swiftness to top someone while still being in your respective form as well. that way you dont waste globals. athough rejuvs shouldnt be a prio hot

      @estesthebestes  6 місяців тому

It’s not technically “wrong”, but there are plenty of times I want to shift forms but not actually be locked into using an ability. For example, when targeted by Necrofrost in Galakrond’s Fall - you can prebear that ability than instantly cancelform macro it and break that ability on you! This is just a small example.

Check out my raider io or my Warcraft logs so you can see what keys I’ve done and my performance in them!
The +20 run footage was just a random pug group that I was doing upon a request from a viewer on stream to compare what they did in damage overall in a +20 to mine.
Plus, for the average viewer seeing gameplay of me catweaving in a +20 is much more applicable to their own gameplay than seeing me do it in a +27. The average skill of a player is much higher in the 27 and it will require significantly different gameplay when compared to the average 20 key.
However, this is a cringe comment to make based on the fact that all of my logs are public and in the description of each video! You can see that a +20 is not near my highest key AND the video is titled as a beginners guide so the gameplay and concepts within the video are geared for players that are learning and working their way up to a 20 key and beyond!
