Remember those days well. That night at Coventry is still the best game for atmosphere I’ve ever been to. City supporters all the way up the motorway that night, incredible. These players will always be legends at this club. Stephen Kew has a lot to answer for!
Incredible sacrifice by these players. The clubs existence today is purely down to their actions. I can’t imagine todays players making such a gesture .
Essential viewing for Todd Boehly on the dangers of long contracts, the difference being the players and agents of today won't tear up their contracts.
A nice documentary that. Poignant that Archie Gooch says about learning from mistakes. The club seems to have been in decent health ever since and more so now under Steve Lansdown. Fingers crossed they get back to the promised land one day soon.

The one that kicked off 15 minutes after the game at Goodison you mean. Coventry should have been relegated for the stunt Jimmy Hill pulled
@@dlamissyes, but ultimately Sunderland were relegated after a whole poor season, not one game!
Yep, cant argue with that. Sunderland took it to the last game having looked dead and buried at Christmas

Not sure they had any say!

My childhood hero Alan Walsh left Darlo for The Robins, always used to look out to see if he'd scored for you.
Extraordinary documentary. Miles away from todays game…or is it?
Jimmy Hill. A proper football man.
Bristol City were playing First Division wages, even though they had been relegated. Just madness
All these players were literally thrown on the scrap heap made unemployed only 2 played professional football afterwards and 1 played in USA.
