We let's get to the bad bits, I own 3.00 top spec 2024 Wiring below sill level, ie plug connectors, not fording waterproof, differential breather not waterproof, centre glove box lid pitifully weak, Power drivers seat, to clearances to wheel poor Driver assist windscreen, very expensive to replace Outer needs body armour, No grille protection for very expensive cooling system , oil expensive, underseal needs hardening. Trim plastic inside weak, dash display hard to read, Fuel gauge poor, standard lighting internal poor, rear head rests block vision, not 12volt sockets in rear internal air con, not powerful, directional vents very poor, steaming no heater . Door switch not all lit, window rubber don't clear rain, when operated, no bonnet lift assistance, gas rods. Box frame does not drain, rear camera, slow to operate, tail gate, not power assist, oil change to often , Warranty hard to benefit , servicing extortionate, parts ridiculous, oil 300% mark up , customer service poor

While many are complaining about some features (LED, drl, tech eck eck) that may be lacking in some.variants. It has solid points that many were not able to see: 1. Commonrail fuel injection system is supplied by a reputable manufacturer (Denso) 2. The tranmission is supplied by Aisin. 3. 4jj3 engine is 3.0 litre with single turbo VGS. While the technology may be conventional. But this one is tried and tested for its durability. The small displacement dual turbo system has yet to prove its reliability. The new toyota tundra equipped with this kind of technology is now hounded with problems in the U.S.A. but lets see if the bi turbo offered by ford and mitsubishi will stand the test of time. Also i can personally attest to its frugality in fuel consumption Despite being a 3.0 litre. I so far managed to consume average 13 to 15 km/litre. 19 km/litre was the highest purely on highway with no traffic. Variant i drive is LT 4x4 MT 4. Other points would be the large chassis and large aluminum propeller shaft. Almost truck like. 5. Breather hose in the rear differential is also extended. No need to buy a kit (4x4 variant)
Hi! Im just curious. Why did you chose a manual over the automatic variant? Im planning to get this pick up but im torned between manual and automatic version. Because they offer a manual 4x4 version which is cheaper than the automatic 4x2.
@@jeromenoel8526i chose manual because it has more pros over the automatic: 1. Manual has less parts vs automatic and it is just air cooled. This makes manual more reliable. 2. Manual is more responsive, consumes less fuel, and brakes does not wear out as fast as automatics. 3. In case manual needs repair. It costs cheaper. The only pros of automatics is convenience and comfort it provides to the driver. Just my 2 cents.

Even if youre not offroading, you will use it from time to time since rear wheels of pickup trucks have weak grip. For me the 4x4 system is like a fire extinguisher. You rarely use it but it is there when you need it
@@tnt27php actually we have owned a manual innova and vios. Driving manual for 10 plus year it became second nature to me. I only feel the hassle of driving a manual when it is traffic. So now that we need to upgrade to a new vehicle and im no longer getting any younger. We thought it maybe time to shift to an automatic. However, im still hesitant because based on my experience, yes it is more fuel efficient, lesser and cheaper maintenance. Also when I asked people i know mostly will say get an automatic because i will no longer get tired of driving. Thank you for stating that the only pros of an automatic is convenience and comfort which you will pay. Driving a manual provides me the control and it keeps me alert when driving. Hopefully will soon try to test drive the manual 4x4 😎

Halogen still better for night driving specially on rain and fog on mountains. The LED looks only bright when you are outside but not for driving. Halogen amber light still the best at any weather conditions
Why do our kababayans there in the Philippines prefer automatic transmission than manual? Here in Germany, we almost exclusively drive manual cars. Also, why are there no detailed feature videos of many manual top-of-the-line variants from a lot of philippine YT channel for this model - say for example this Isuzu D-max LS-A 4x4 MT Plus? I cannot find any detailed philippine videos for this variant in any platform. I am thinking of buying one for the next years when I move again to the Philippines but don't want to buy an automatic car. I hope there would me more videos focused on manual variants of any car.

There no difference, still expensive, the BYD Sealion 6 is really a game changer, right now i gathered, there are 500++waitlisted, the DM-1 tech is even being licensed by toyota to be integrated into their line ups, threw in the towel coz BYD is now the undisputed leader as far as moore's law in tech in EV is concerned. The Price & tech will really displace a lot of legacy brands in the near future. and Sales will be the measuring stick as always, not personal POV. Consumers are now smart.

Sadly, MT is a dying breed here in the Philippines due to the traffic. Typically, you can get MT on base or specialty models only.
