    Hey you two,
I just wanted to let you guys know that your content is incredibly therapeutic. This last week has been absolutely brutal for me and my anxiety, and I couldn’t even look at my phone without my attack ramping up. After 5 days and a couple hours in the ER, my wife told me to try and distract myself with something soothing and it hit me.
Your old videos of when you first moved up there, building everything from the ground up, really lifted my spirits. I watched them all those years ago, but it had a relieving effect this time around. Your cooking made me feel hungry for the first time in days. I just wanted to let y’all know that we love you, and are rooting for you both, and thank you for sharing your life.
    - Will from Texas
TLDR; your stuff helps my mental state. Thanks.

"I just hate getting electrocuted"! That is too funny, but please take necessary precautions - accidents are unplanned and unanticipated. Great job and so admirable that you take it upon yourselves to do projects you have not tackled before - that spirit is the foundation of a self sufficient life.

Another thing I like about you two is that you’re modest and don’t think you have to show off your bodies to have a following like some of these younger couples do. Thanks!!! You’re refreshing

We have a 1250 square foot house and had cement siding put on our last fall. It took them 3 weeks to complete. And another month to redo 2 small bathrooms. Y’all our doing outstanding. You set your mind on something and don’t stop until it’s finished. Great work ethic you should be proud of.

Bo knows.... Bandit's ready!! Pepper's like: "What? You're filming me again? Have your people call my people for royalty negotiations."
Gonna be cozy, come winter. Be glad that you can use box nails for that material, and not SS ring-shank nails. I did a 3-story house with cement board siding once, and you HAVE to use SS ring-shank nails. Lots of "fun" if you have to pull one. Another option at the rafters, is to use a scrap of siding as a thickness jig and cut the rafter tails with the multi-tool to enable you to slide the siding up behind your cut. Lookin' good you two.
For your gables, you could use a pair of extension ladders with ice tongs, ladder jacks, and a painter's pick to span the work. For added security, drive some stakes into the ground for the ice tongs to butt against and keep it steady.

You two are absolutely amazing! Coming from the family I do, (every one of them are in one or more fields of construction, from clearing land and milling lumber, to the finished carpentry inside the home, and even the landscaping), I so appreciate how you don’t just do the job, you do it right and to the highest quality. All while making videos for all of us! I introduced my family to your channel last year and they’re avid watchers, just like me. We’ve come to admire the quality of your hard work and your incomparable work ethic. Much love you both and of course the fur and feather babies. 💚 I hope that your week is wonderful and that you are happy and healthy. ☀️ 🌷🌸 And as always - thank you so much for sharing your lives with us, its a treat! 🙃😉

I feel your pain. About 12 years ago I helped my former neighbor re-side his entire house with cement-fiber. When I saw your "Gecko Gauges" I was so jealous. We made our own reveal/hide gauges with scraps of wood. But they were not hands free. We had to hold them in place at each end and then he would start the pneumatic nailer on his end. Still helped us immensely not having to keep measuring. By the time we were nearly finished at the end of the week, my left knee (already bad) looked like a grapefruit on top and he had to have cortisone shot into his right elbow. Good times! Y'all are doing an awesome job!

Hardy board is the best product for siding especially this extreme weather conditions and then oil base paint only if the paint is compatible with the factory primer the oil base paint will last a really long time and stainless nail's and don't break the face of the siding with the nail's or your hammer ! Good not cheap and cheap is not good spend extra money it will last a really long time !

We also do our homework, gather info sizes stuff only to find out that what were missing something . Most of us assume that whether its a channel we view here on yt or on tv ( when I watched tv ) that it allll goes well and it only happens to us. Looks great, love the narrating on your vid! Stay dry during the melt my Alaskan friends! Also, great call on the vapor barrier. Some builders/folks don't use it, and I've never understood why. Good advice on the ear protection Ariel! It's like wearing a seatbelt, you don't need it until you needed it, but by then it's too late... It appears we have the same taste in music, we share much of the same songs Ha! Mariah and I appreciate you guys and your channel.

“I hate getting electricuted…” hilarious in that moment but please do be careful. The exterior surface looks great and I expect will provide extra heat insulation too. Excellent job you guys have done.

That's a quality cat! I put up an electric fence today to keep the Deer out of my garden. While fiddling with it using what I though was a pair of insulated pliers I got zapped - I'm in solidarity with Eric! Be super careful.

Thank you for this informative video. My husband always appreciates your explanation of the tools that you use for a project. It looks like that he will have to enclose our porch to make it a sunroom so the "gadgets", tools and siding were helpful to him. As always, we admire your work ethic. It was great to see Bo!
