I JUST got a sequoia seed ring and fallen sequoia bark necklace from an etsy shop because I miss this national park SOOOO much! I'm so happy to come across your video and relive the journey! thanks for sharing :,) it brings back good memories!
Wow! What a great experience. You two look like your having some much fun in the snow. I’m almost jealous, while I sit hear in my lounge chair getting a tan in Hawaii. Love your vlogs guys. This was cool. Aloha. 😄😄🌴🌴
You did such a beautiful job on this video! Such great information for those planning their visits! This is our backyard, as we are from the Three Rivers area, and I think I'll provide my winter guests with a link to your video.
This was amazing and one of the best recaps I’ve ever seen! Love your content! Heard you recommend microspikes, would you recommend those over crampons? Also I’m going next weekend but I don’t think there will be as much snow compared to when you went in Dec…I’m checking the weather / temperature but do you think the trails you showed us will still be this snowy? And last q - trying to figure out the distance / road that connects sequoia and kings canyon, google maps says 2h for some reason and I couldn’t find any info about closures on nps.gov.
Thank you for the feedback! We like microspikes because they are cheap, lightweight, and easy to put on for hikes like this. Crampons are a little more extreme and we use them for mountaineering instead. Trails might have some snow on them, but January-February was extremely dry so I do not think there will be nearly as much as when we went right after a big storm. The road between the two is usually shut down all of winter so I would assume it is still shut down. If you check the NPS website it will say if it is open, if it does not that then I would anticipate it being closed and you can spend 1/2 day in Kings Canyon and the rest plus another day in Sequoia! Hope this can help :)
@@TheLoversPassport Thank you so much for taking the time to respond!!! I went this past long weekend and there was still a lot of snow, really cool to see. (def less than yours like you said!). But winter wonderland vibes, so thanks for these videos for inspiring!! It wasn't all fresh snow that would've required snowshoeing for instance for The Congress Trail. Also in the video I think it was mentioned that the Moro rock trail was closed, which it is, but we actually did it by walking from the Giant Tree Museum parking lot and using microspikes from Amazon to go up the steps and it was so helpful. The views were amazing! A few other groups were up there too!! But thanks for the recs in this video, absolutely loved it all, checked out Hume Lake as well. Not iced over but still pretty!
Hi guys - fantastic video ! I plan to visit the park April 1st - what's the weather should be like? I know I have to bring chain/socks by law, but wouldn't want snow though.... Thanks for your inputs guys 😉
@@TheLoversPassport thanks so much!! It's a bit of a gamble but we'll take the risk 😉 I'll make sure to have chains or socks as it's mandatory up until may 1st apparently
Very nice! I'm curious, was this video recorded AFTER the 2021 fires? I am debating whether to visit this coming April, but not sure if it'll be worthwhile given the fires last year...
Love your guys’ videos. Planning on taking a trip up mid January. I know you guys sleeping in your 4Runner. Where are you able to park or were permits purchased to stay in the park?
How much fire damage did you see? My family and I are planning to visit in April and just curious if there are areas/campgrounds that are closed due to the fire.
Hi peeps Love seeing you walking in the snowy woods❤ Me and my bf are planning to go to Sequoia park at the end of this year during Christmas vacation. We’re driving from Irvine. How many days would you recommend to stay there? Perhaps two days one night is enough ? Or maybe three days two nights ? We’re trying to set down our schedule and book the accommodations keke? Would be appreciated to hear any feedback from your side :)
Unfortunately, it was closed while we were there because of the amount of snow! Really depends on weather conditions because they change so much during the winter.
Yes, this was one of my all-time favorite places to visit. It’s incredible with the snow.🎉❤

We loved Sequoia so much! Already want to return!
I was supposed to do this exact trip this month with my parents but couldn't. Thanks for atleast letting me experience it through you!
Thanks for watching! :) Hope you get to do it some day!
Sequoia NP is top of my list to see when I visit the US. It looks so different in the snow too. Looks like a nice trip!
It is beautiful in the snow! You will love it so much!
Memorial weekend 2019 I drove into the park the exact moment a freak and unanticipated blizzard hit. It was epic
That sounds totally epic Jared! We love seeing this place covered in snow!
This video was so helpful. Thank you!
Sequoias are unreal majestic trees. Thanks for taking us along. 👍
Thank you! They are some of our favorite trees we have ever seen!
@@TheLoversPassport I definitely wanna experience these trees in person. Sequoias are the largest trees in the world. 👍
Great video. Some real cool views thank you.
How cool!!! I just wanna copy every trip you guys do! Lol the clip of Steven falling was surprising but hilarious! Thank you all for the great tips!!!
Haha thanks so much! LOL it was quite funny!
Beautiful ❤️
I was just there 2 weeks ago before the first snow
That sounds awesome, John! We loved it there so much!

LOL We will be on our way to Hawaii in a few weeks! The snow has been a ton of fun so far!

thank you so much, that means a lot!! It really is such an amazing place 😍❤️
Would love a summer guide!! Going in august 🥰
Thanks Kayla! We will have to make a new video for summer :)
Nice! ❤️ your videos. Would love to see those sequoias in the snow but I don’t have the proper vehicle to get there 😭
It is a very windy road! Maybe look at renting a car for the day or going to Kings Canyon instead!
@2:13 wrong. Sequoia National Park is located in Tulare County. I'm from Tulare, sorry, can't let this error go. lol.
Lmao we were working with Visit Fresno county and they’d like people to know how close they are to the 3 parks 😂
My dream place I want to go to
It is such a rad spot! You have to go Jake!

Great question! We think it should be much warmer in April and hopefully not as much snow! Really depends on how many storms blow in this winter

We recorded this video in December 2021! Totally worth the visit!
Love your guys’ videos. Planning on taking a trip up mid January. I know you guys sleeping in your 4Runner. Where are you able to park or were permits purchased to stay in the park?
We slept at the closest Walmart parking lot!! But you can also check and see if campgrounds are open
Which month in the winter did you guys go? We are thinking of doing a late March trip and is slightly worried.
We've gone in November and December before!
How much fire damage did you see? My family and I are planning to visit in April and just curious if there are areas/campgrounds that are closed due to the fire.
The recreation.gov website will have all the information regarding what campsites are open, but we did not see too much fire damage in the park!

I would only stay 1 night! During the snow a lot of the park is closed unfortunately, but head to Yosemite right next door!
Was it crowded when you went?
It wasn't crowded at all when we went!
Is the park open now from the wild fire in late 2021?
Yes! But there are some closures due to snow! NPS website is updated everyday with current conditions!
Is it still this snowy??
If you check the recreation.gov website it will tell you the conditions for the entire par!
Is Moro rock open in the winter??
Unfortunately, it was closed while we were there because of the amount of snow! Really depends on weather conditions because they change so much during the winter.
Which month was this
This was in December!
