Its’s like you read my mind. I have never been on the continent, but from what I have observed thru UA-cam, I was concerned. I just want us all to rise together.
We all think different, feel different, raised differently, I think it’s hard for everybody to get along but hopefully everybody can come to a common ground.
15:33 - That's 260K per month, 1 day off per week, health care, room & board. Is a generous employment package 😎
Im tanzanian. I used to have a house maid on 2016 and i used to pay her tsh 50,000 a month in a household of 2 people me and my husband. In dar . I have heard now adays is around 100,000+ depends on chores and how many kids u have
Asante sana for making this video dada. I agree with you. If they can't afford to pay someone fairly, then they should ask.
The minimum wage for a dada is actually equal to the minimum wage in Tanzania, it used to be Tshs 150,000 and now is TShs 300,000 per month! Yes, there is a law and there is a minimum wage, regardless whether they are dada's or not. So you are right, some people are taking advantages of these dadas.
Can you send me the link of the minimum wage so I can send it to people. I couldn’t find it anywhere online 😩
What's wrong with these muzungus? They trying to take it back to slavery? However, someone new to TZ would not know what the real cost of everything is so maybe they think $60,000 T shillings is okay. It's good that you are available for people to consult with so they can know the real deal.
Ain’t no way I could pay a dada $15 to $30 a month. Shame on any American who pay that. You may not can pay the American rate, but you can pay little more.
Great to see you back Diamond💃
Hey hey
Jewels,Like it. you created perfect ~=)
When I was in Tanzania, I was told a Dada is paid 200000 Tsh which I calculated was around 90$ usd a month. That was a year and half ago before inflation. 30$, I would be very surprised. Not giving any money at all, just food and and a place to sleep is slavery to me.
Glowey and beautiful!!!😍
Aw thank you 😊
I asked a DADA how much she she made a month. She said 100,000 tshz. i couldn't believe it. i had already tipped her more than her monthly salary.
100K is very normal for a salary even more depends on how many days and task
Only respectful to give a person a living wage! No one can get an American $300 or even $500 a month let alone $50 a month any place in the world! Hope all is well and You Look Fab D’Jewels! 🥰
great jewels on the run
Happy New Year sista. I know it sounds rediculous the amount paid but have you considered the term [standard of living] AND
a term you may have or have not heard [engineered poverty] by the mzugus of the West? Just saying.
It’s all wrong in my opinion
I think it might be more effective to go to go the government of Tanzania with these issues. Exploitation is everywhere, and it’s wrong everywhere. Maybe you can speak with someone and do something about it.
Long time no see inlaw
Some people are just disgusting why would you try to take advantage of people like that.. if you can't afford to pay a dada well then you need to do it yourself, im from the U.S, and im almost sure its us over there doing that... ive seen people on UA-cam pretty much bragging about that. But will complain when they get over charged in a market. I plan on moving there but something tells me I will not be hanging around too many people from the US.
