That is the single best description of how I feel about Glitchtrap. None of the other animatronic designs have left me feeling creeped out or uneasy but Glitchtrap does.
It's because he moves like a human. The others have dead eyes, and you know that at most, they're the spirits of dead kids or angry A.I. robots. Sure, scary, right? But with this franchise, you get used to it.
Glitchtrap is the first thing to move like a person. Glitchtrap is the first thing where you *know* there's a living person behind that mask. And *THAT* is what makes him so unnerving. He's human -- and yet, he still slaughters children and laughs about it, dancing to the music they play while stuck inside an animatronic suit.
He's an actual costume too not just an animatronic.

@@RockyWolfTheEditingWolf That's true, and Springtrap is still horrifying (he also does have more fluid movements). For me, it's just that Springtrap is still somewhat erratic, even though he moves more fluidly than the other animatronics. You can blame the springlocks digging into his nerves for that one.
I cannot believe for his final minigame before the finale he actually did the most classic FNAF win of all time
Y'know, running out of power and running down the clock just in time before the Freddy Jumpscare.

Man, Pizza Party's ending truly is the perfect counter to the idea that Scott/Steelwool are either incapable of or uninterested in delivering genuine, effective horror. Matt's reaction here really says it all. Hope we can see stuff this good again in Ruin.

31:00 the scariest part about the original three games in VR, is that the animatronics "get into position" so you have to wait and watch them walk ALL THE WAY to the end of the hall (or vent) and it's terrifying. I love VR, but I don't know if I could ever play this game 😂😂❤️ I'm a wuss

It’s kinda funny how William afton is dressed up in an animatronic bunny suit when he kills the children because, as most of you know, bunny’s are a pray, not a predator, which kinda switches the roles a little bit, it’s like the embodiment of the saying “beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing”

Who elsed noticed in all of the locations you go to during pizza party you are playing where all off the animatronics would normally be. Foreshadowing what is about too happen.
it's scary watching as mat comes to the realization that he's about to be stuffed at 1:35:40 because we all know not to trust it, but for the kids they would have been so happy to have cake with their favorite character. they didn't know any better and that's what makes it so scary. the fact that you're forced to watch it all happen through the eyes of a child with no way to end it other than by progressing.

You don't realize how dark this game is until someone's telling you how dark it is. Matpat mentioning how dark this game truly is made me realized how messed up the lore of these games are.
I didn't get to see this live but I love watching these. Mat kept apologizing for it taking forever but this was all the stuff we don't get to see from our favorite letsplayers. I love getting a real look at the process for playing these kinds of games.

I just noticed (super unrelated what’s so ever) but at 1:07:46 he says that’s just a game theory, that’s just a “FOOD THEORY”, ik that the channel is already out but I think that’s cool that he mentioned it without probably knowing
I’ve always loved coming back to this video in particular. I’ve never been too scared of FNAF (aside from joy of creation. Pure nightmare fuel there.). But the ending to this game is absolutely chilling.
Compared to just hearing of it, there’s something almost more horrifying to only realizing exactly what situation you’re in, and being unable to do anything but move forward to the inevitable. It’s that instant realization in the final moments of that mini game that truly makes it the most horrifying moment in the entire series.

In silver eyes too, the original animatronics were saving the little kid, I guess Jason, from all the the adults. They don't trust any adults any more!
Plus the twisted ones legit has a final show where the funtime and original animatronics straight up start fighting!! John and charlie asked them for their help and they did!

I realize now that MatPat may have teased the new Food Theory channel back during this live stream. This was a year ago at the time of this comment and when he released it a few weeks ago, he said it took two years in the making.
