I wish you were my dad when growing up. All the money and stuff can never replace absent or poor parenting. Your commitment to the girls is so apparent and it will payoff in wonderful ways you aren't imagining. I know you know family is the most important thing.
I'm sure I speak for many when I say I hope you have, or will soon, find someone who appreciates and loves you while sharing this precious life. I hear you I’m not a morning person either. Sometimes it helps to get all or some of the lunch ready the night before if I make a sandwich with lettuce on it, I put the lettuce in a separate baggie so it doesn’t make the sandwich soggy.

My gosh. They are growing, Ive watched these kiddies since bubs and you of course. Your story as a single dad is so similar to my sons. My heart broke for him and for you . Its so hard but you get through it stronger at the other end .
They’re growing up so fast. It’s why you have to make the most of these younger years. I’m so sorry to hear that your son has gone through some similar things to me. I hope things have or will get better for him. Sadly there’s a lot of men going through the same thing but for the most part, it’s only the people really close to them who know just how hard it is. It’s a topic far too people want to have open and understanding discussions about.

It is expected for mums to do hair and cook, but a man doing it in 2024 still has to be seen as "special". It is normal parenting not as if Jamie is doing extra except the day to day stuff. Try to see how dad's are praised for the average parenting vs mums then rethink your comment.
