This channel goated. About 2 years ago I wanted to Paracord my controller and I had little to no soldering experience. I made a comment on one of his videos saying there's no way I can do this and rocker said something along the lines of "anyone can do it, you just gotta give it a try!" So I successfully did it and I was hooked. 2 years later I'm a full time motherboard repair technician! All started because I wanted a cool wire for my GameCube controller. Thanks Rocker!
Andy, Thank you for sharing that! Its a testamate to you and your willingness to learn that got you there, I am just glad you took the initiative after some crazy guy on YT showed you how to make a cool cable for your GCC!
Me: There’s no way on gods earth he’s handsome bro. No way. He ain’t gonna make us see his face. Rockergaming: beginning of the video *face reveal* Me: OH NO HE’S HOOOOOTTTTT
Even tho I'd never be able to do something like this myself, I still love those videos :D Also the clear controller at the end is absolutely awesome ^^
I don’t know what UA-cam is thinking. It wouldn’t recommend this video 😢 Luckily I’m subscribed to you on Instagram and Twitter so I didn’t miss this update😉. It almost seems like we are approaching a GameCube controller that is otherworldly. It would’ve never even existed without this awesome modding community! What a time to be a GameCube fan!
UA-cam's recommendation system has been all over the map for me personally. Its crazy you say that bc I find twitter to be the best source when looking to see when ppl publish, lol. Dude, not sure how much further we can take the cube controller at this point, I already feel like we are looking at a cybernetic version of the GCC, lol.
The only reason I'm getting into soldering is because of your videos. Altho being a avid smash bros player and GameCube lover I don't think I can be as good as you.
OH wow a FACE! This is great. Love how you work with the community. Next maybe a Amiibo reader that changes the logic of the kit to that character. (yea that should challenge him into insanity). I missed seeing your videos.
Haha I am a real person 😂😂😂 I felt like this was finally the right time! If the kit does well I might consider a similar way to swap characters, but maybe with button combo or so something like that. This is a solid idea though! Thank you, missed everyone, feels good to upload!
Man that would be so sick, ngl! There are few others in the scene who are working on something like that and they are extremely knowledgeable as well. Looking forward to what they come up with!

I spent around $200 in equipment trying to get the shinewave mod to work right after the original article got posted on electricexploits back in 2017 (controller/soldering equipment/parts etc). I chatted with Garrett back and forth via email about my failed attempts to recreate the project but we could never pinpoint what I was doing wrong. I couldn't effectively troubleshoot having zero experience in programming or EE and eventually gave up. Never thought I'd see this as a kit years later! I'm so happy I saw this video today. Awesome stuff!
Hey… my dog has completely destroyed my GameCube controllers. Chewing the wire and sticks off. Do you do GameCube controller repairs? Anyone here? I can’t find anyone that knows how to repair these.
As someone who just casually uses GameCube controllers for Wii games and GameCube games, this scares me. Please, my orange spice boi, help me deal with the suffering of Rayman Origins not working with you
Mmmmmh giveaway 🤤 Anyways that was yet again an awesome video! I’ll mod one of my controllers using your videos as a reference one day. 😭 That being said I am in the market for a new controller. 👀
I actually just started my first controller mod with help from your videos! I'm excited to see how it turns out, I'll send some pics on twitter. Excited for the giveaway!
Hey RG do you have a shop that I would be able to send you one of my non working Sega Saturn consoles? I loved your Sega Saturn restoration video, and have been looking for some one to restore, and mod one of my non working Sega Saturn consoles!
Love the shinewave stuff. Really great work! It would be great to see more LED controller and system mods and maybe a short explanation on which rails to get power and limits for numbers of less. Keep up the great work
Shine on Shinewave!!! Great vid Rocker. Great to see you front and centre at the start of the video and a great look at your amazing gaming displays. I can’t get my head round how you fit all that tech inside such a small space. Great job. I’d love to be entered into your draw for that awesome clear controller. Keep up the good work mate. Cheers.
John, I appreciate that, thank you! There is a lot in there, not sure there much more that could be reasonably added at this point, at least no comfortably, lol. Cheers and best of luck in the giveaway!!
Honestly mindblowing what you're capable of doing with these controllers - I followed your tutorial for making resin cast buttons, none of my controllers have default face buttons on them. Keep up the good work!
Face Reveal!! Pretty interesting hardware and software mods in this video, didn't know there was that snap back mod for the joysticks until now. Are you planning to put the LED rings for the joysticks back in your shop? I'm looking to mod my most recent controller with those.
Yes, I have another run which should drop in about a month. I have been getting a ton of requests to get LED rings back in stock and plan to do so as soon as I get these out the door!
Thanks buddy, its been a journey, but I am so happy to finally be at the end of the road with this one, at least until I get some other crazy idea, lol.
Heck yeah dude, you can nab those controller chaos controllers from ebay or ali express for next to nothing, would be a good test subject if you plan to paint!

That clear control is 100% awesome. I will definitely be picking up some items for my gamecube setup. I love your work please keep it coming!!
Every time I watch one of your videos the Gummy Bears theme gets stuck in my head.
Me too now you associate Gummi bears and modding!
Let's GO. I love modding stuff, and I was missing your content. I'm trying to do the Paracord cable on my controller.

always great to see a new rockerg video, I really appreciate all your tutorials :)

i wanna try hardware mods myself at some point
love your videos man
Can you use the 20XX hack pack to sync up the values like you did with that homebrew mod?
Great question and I am not sure I know the answer. Let me ping @itskillwillson or @MickGCC they are my Melee consultants, lol.
The clear on clear looks so nice. Being able to see the insides of the controller and mods is really cool.
Nice to see new content from you! Cant wait to try it on my controlller!
I've been waiting so long for this. Best modder
I just a want a gamecube controller, since i cant find one for a decent price.

Both that Kirby controller and Clear controller are pretty sick
Where can I buy that gamecube controller case?
This is sweet dude you knocked it out of the park look at the clean clear on clear on clear spectacular man👍👍👍😲
Thank you! Its been a long road, but that is exactly what the goal was! Cheers dude and hope you have been doing well!!
Cool

Glad you finally got to see your project come to fruition. Its impressive to say the least.
Thanks buddy, its been a journey, but I am so happy to finally be at the end of the road with this one, at least until I get some other crazy idea, lol.
Man great job! I would love to win this controller!
This mod is insane man can’t wait to see what content you begin to post again been a long time fan
Good work! The controller looks fantastic.
Hey, can you make a video about xbox 360 controller moding? I would love one. Thanks!
I would love to do one, I modded 360 controller BACK in the day and have not done one since, might be time to change that!
This channel has been making me consider at the very least painting one of my controllers. The clear one looks incredible. This is top notch work!
Heck yeah dude, you can nab those controller chaos controllers from ebay or ali express for next to nothing, would be a good test subject if you plan to paint!
This looks cool hopefully I win that controller
That clear GameCube controller looks so sexy-
Omg yes loved this project and now its done!
The amount of planning and effort is obviously immense, but the final product is fantastic. Great work and walkthrough!
So much planning and time to make sure we made it as best as we could!
The struggle of being a pro controller player is real
I LED and snapback modded my pro controller and it was (still is because a lot is still WIP) a nightmare, but hey, I’m the only pro controller player at my local with light up buttons
dude the pro controllers are not easy to work on... one of these days I will attempt to do some development for it. I love that controller!
This channel gave me the inspiration and guts to rip open my GameCube controller and joycons and fix/ customize them. Soldering still scares me tho.
Javier, you can do it!! Just practice and then get in there a do it!
Can you make a program to install the codes on our controller?

haha, the grind continues, just when I thought I was done, lol

Right trig hold- item dragging/ fluttering blue effect
Right trig press- use item- horn/ white flash as long as horn
Left trig and thumb stick- drifting/ less cut off then then flutter white, and then orange, then blue ( depending on how long the drift is)
Left trig press- hop/ white flash
A button- gas/ green flutter, as if they where an engine
B button- Brake/ solid red lights

Switching in double dash/ each led blinks off in a rotation
Xy press-Looking backwards/ led flash yellow
