    For checking shaders. You can click at the top "remember last used shader directory". Its right above "Load". That way you don't have to open very folder

    Love the shader recommendations, makes the SNES games really pop and feel nostalgic all at once. You should show off some other systems as well!

    Good point about Unicorn Overlord and emulation. I have a unpatched switch but I still bought the game. Edit: Forgot to also mention, only thing missing from the Odin 2 is an OLED model, besides that it's the perfect android emulator

      IKR....AYN should make an oled display replacement. I'd buy it if its not more than $50.

      If they made a more premium Odin 2, I'd be down. OLED for sure. Can see a lot of people buying that.

    Thanks for this. Not sure what Andrew pappas is complaining about. You do a totally decent job of explaining the shaders and give the info plus the link to another tutorial. I think retroarch might need you to reset after switching to Vulcan for the shaders option to become slang shaders, but other than Irving that together it was pretty easy to add these shaders and they really are on another level from every other shader I’ve tried. The one other note I’d add is that you can turn on the option to open last directory in the retroarch shaders settings which makes a huge difference when trying out a few. You can also assign the switch between shaders to some hot keys if you really want to spend some time testing a bunch of them.

    Odin 3 needs an OLED screen, larger d-pad and full-size analog sticks. Slight larger grips and a better plastic shell wouldn't hurt either.

      The one I'm using is "Qualcomm v676.47 Vulkan driver" github.com/K11MCH1/AdrenoToolsDrivers/releases/tag/v676.47 . I have also changed my audio output engine to cubeb. Nothing worth noting in graphics apart from Disk shader cache is on.

    Next logical step for android is gen 3 and Samsung to release a handheld . I can't see them allowing their current gen processors to be used by others until they have a gen 4 for the future galaxy devices. Think we are safe for now with the Odin 2 , for a year at least

    Hey guys. So yes if you follow the tutorial that is provided in the description, you can get this working. Another thing to note is after you set the shader, save it as a core preset and then save core override or else it will not stick. I've combined these with bezels ( which are on screen overlays ) combined with these shaders. Keep in mind that these shaders are technically a bezel with a filter.

  • @ryangalvatron4451
    @ryangalvatron4451 5 місяців тому

    Can you specify which actual bezel/overlay you used for the monitor with reflection and ambilight is? You very very quickly explain what to do but never make any mention of which ones you actually used.

    • @-roetaka
      @-roetaka  5 місяців тому +1

      The tutorial part was a bit of an afterthought, I don't usually do tutorials so apologies if it felt rushed (I mention I linked a video in the description for a better tutorial I used). At 9:20 I went straight to the bezel/shader I used and pointed my thumb at it (but I thought I'd encourage people to check ones themselves as there is a lot). At 11:40 I go straight to the GBA one I used and mention that one specifically.

      @@-roetaka thanks. Just to clarify, this is just a shader. Does the TV screen with reflection have the CRT pixel effect? I'm sorry if I didn't catch this in your video but also retroarch can be confusing at times.

    Tbh that's a stupid argument about "supporting the developer" a bunch of idiots think the developers make the games for free or what? Developers get paid for their work and once the game is released that's it. I hate these piracy moralists, they sound stupid. Why would I want to give my hard earned money to greedy companies who don't even want you to own the game you purchased. Shits wild.

      Not sure if you've noticed, but there have been quite a few layoffs in the gaming industry lately. Not just the big companies, either. I think sales definitely affect the developers of smaller/indie games

    Suyu already goodbye unfortunately Yuzu came a long way to the point where I'm happy with it. We'll see something better soon again Nintendo needs to back off the emulators as that's not going to stop Piracy, stopping Piracy like sites that share games stops piracy but the people at Nintendo aren't smart enough to know this. They keep producing systems with 10 year old hardware and those that don't know better fall for their trap. I won't support them anymore mind you I'll buy used products but I won't buy retail.

    • @JB-tp6uj
      @JB-tp6uj 5 місяців тому +1

      I understand that you're very passionate about this, but you need to step outside of yourself for a second. Nintendo could put out more powerful and/or current hardware and it still wouldn't stop people from pirating. Dreamcast was the most powerful console for its time before the PS2 and people pirated games. The original Xbox was more powerful than the Gamecube and PS2....and people pirated games. If people want something for free, they're going to do it regardless of the system.
      And Nintendo doesn't play the same game as Microsoft and Sony. There's no trap being laid here. They've banked on their games and relatively family friendly UI and software to sell consoles with less horsepower for decades. It's a business model that works for them and they don't have to keep up with the Joneses. The kinds of people who are angry at them for not releasing high powered consoles pale in comparison to their overall audience, who don't care how powerful their systems can or should be.
