Stunningly beautiful year for the Riviera. However, the 1968 model year was the first year for side marker lights to appear on ANY of the new cars produced that year!!!
The Riviera is actually a very beautiful car. I would also like to express my appreciation for you telling us what the asking price is. And to me it looks like a very nice price for what we would have. Thank you for sharing this video with me. I will subscribe to your channel.
Yes. The presence of side marker lights and absence of wing vent windows is how I could always tell a '68 from a '67 Camaro when seen only from the side.
I had a 68, the green paint on was bad, I did 7 coats black lacquer, red pinstriped it, black vinyl top, black int, very little difference between 68 69,,
No you are very wrong. I had a 69 that looked exactly like that one, the only difference was the interior, mine had the blade shifter on the center console and gold color. Let me be the 1st to correct you it was a powerhouse speed demon. We called them luxurious muscle cars. 1970 when they went to the front wheel drive is when they lost power.
@@patrickcasey3284 hold on go back and read my statement. It said nothing about the 69. I think the power got out of the cars and 72 as I recall I had a 73 Buick myself it was a dog.
@ChitownRon since you didn't add a date as to when the power was reduced, one could be mistaken with your comment. Reread your comment, and I'm fairly sure you would come to a similar conclusion. I apologize for my assumption.
Gorgeous. One of GMs most beautiful cars ever, imo. Laughed when you turned the radio on to hear, “Throw Kamala under the bus.” 🤣
68 was first year for side markers
Very good! You are showing my age. :)
And headrests in some situations. I think mandatory in 69.
Gorgeous car!!
Nice 👍🏽
I am currently restoring my 65 Riviera ✌🏽
From the days when GM was at the top of their styling game

My all time dream car. I love the Riv especially the 68 model year. And this is a beautiful example
I had a 69 and it was nearly identical to this one...I like the 69 interior more with the blade shifter on the center console.
Love these! I have a 71
Outstanding example of yesteryear!

Awesome car.
I'd buy this in a heartbeat if I was ready.
{2:34-2:56} '68 was 1st year for the federally mandated side marker lights.
Nice.
Beautiful Car

I believe it's the lens with the R in the middle just like the center caps .

Amazing automobile very impressive
I’m surprised that this model doesn’t have the infamous Buick speed minder. But an outstanding example of a Riviera.

I thought 68 was the first year of government mandatory side marker lights??
Nice

Had a ‘68 and a ‘65…
What the hell happened to GM.?
Beautiful 68 Rivi. Too bad it doesn’t have power windows
I knew that I had one just like it hide away headlights

360 HP. Needs an exhaust system tho.
68 before they stripped the horsepower out of the engines.

@@patrickcasey3284 see that’s what comes with being an old man. I live through that time I should’ve put the date down for you young guys.
