Could anyone please explain what Collect for Selected Comps does? It sounds like it will collect only for the selected comps and eliminate the rest, but it never does that, it seems to do the same as the All setting.
great vid useful vid, but i do have a question... what about the cache files? If you are working on a 4k project is there a way to add the cache files back in???
Would I be okay to delete all the "non-collected" copies then? Considering everything I need is now in 1 folder and I have duplicates of all content scattered in random places on my laptop...
Not only it makes it easier to edit source files but it also allows your HDD to load all sources from one place, not all... Which increases performance in rendering, anyway thanks.
is there a way to link files of a collected project to a similar project file? FOR EXAMPLE... could the project file of a collected project be replaced with a different one and have everything link when it is opened?
File > Dependencies > Collect Files ... There I saved you 4 minutes of listening to superfluous babbling. You give good advice but why the hell make it so long?
In Premiere Pro, the best way to do this is to access the Project Manager (under the file menu) and select “collect files and copy to a new location”. This does exactly what it sounds like. It will take every last one of the files in your project and copy them over into a folder of your choice.
