The Chinese strategy seems to be to ensure that most yards have as diverse a capacity as possible. The benefit of this is to spread knowledge and capability throughout many yards, ensuring resilience against "unforeseen circumstances", as well as providing a much greater degree of repair and maintenance capability should the need suddenly arise.

Quite some times ago, a Chinese Song-Class submarine surfaced within five miles of the USS Kitty Hawk airplane carrier in the Pacific Ocean. The carrier was surrounded by a dozen of ships in a protective formation, but nevertheless, the Chinese sub managed to slip through unnoticed. It came as a surprise that the Americans were unable to detect the lone submarine earlier, for their extensive defense screen included a submarine and anti-submarine helicopters, all responsible for protecting the battle group from an underwater attack.
Now note that t😂he Song-Class submarine is diesel-electric powered. It is the first submarine class developed entirely by China and also the first Chinese submarine to use the modern teardrop hull shape. It uses a German state-of-the-art 396 SE84 diesel engine.

I suspect it is designed to somehow dock on the bottom of special modified ships and modified fishing boats sight unseen. Recharging batteries by the surface ship, recycling fresh air, and perhaps replenishing while hiding in plain sight under the ship (including commercial cargo ships and fishing trawlers).

I think it's unmanned. Being unmanned would allow it far more range and lower noise signature, also more torpedoes.
Going unmanned has the biggest benefits for submarines since a normal sub needs to sacrifice so much internal space for the human crew, deleting that need would give a huge boost in capabilities.

Modern Subs dont have a Conning tower. The Sail is outside the pressure hull that houses all the communication masts and periscopes. The Con or Control room is inside the pressure hull below the periscopes. WW2 boats had conning towers.

    • @johngrimm1103
      @johngrimm1103 17 годин тому

This is incorrect. Modern sub have all the equipment in the sail, so there is no need for an actual periscope to penetrate the pressure hull, less weakness. All the equipment is designed for depth so they just leave it in the sail, unpressurized, and make the pressure hull more secure.

    • @akula9713

The vehicle operates at a greater depth (less hull penetrations/hull openings for crew access). The towed array is spooled out in a buoyant state to take acoustic reading above a thermal layer. That submarine is designed to operate at depth.

Could be that you are right about that, never know.
Wonder what about production capacity China have.
They have been producing really fast hypersonic missiles as Russia have for some years already,
I am afraid responsible politicians in Washington keep underestimate china as well as Russia,
China have already been producing weapons in huge industrial complex under the surface for a while.
And they' don't feel the need to show the world what they are producing of course,
not as the US who's trying to show how scary their weapons is.
That's why I see China much more scarry,
they don't feel the need to show the world what they are producing of weapons.
That's much more scarry compared with the US,
world know that huge US aircraft carriers full of advanced weapon systems are a huge disadvantage today when their enemies have really fast intercontinental hypersonic missiles.
And it's impossible to hide those huge aircraft carriers,
I know ordinary citizens in the west should not knowing what's going on.
Because entire world knows that it's not only the US who's having gamechanger weapons,
world knows that US Gamechanger weapons systems being blown up to dust.
They managed to stop really fast hypersonic missiles in the mainstream media,
that's the only place that they managed to shoot down really fast hypersonic missiles.
Because the truth is, those hypersonic missiles hit their targets.
The west have a huge problem when Rich and mighty Lobbyist's are not only the owner's of weapon industry complex,
exactly the same Lobbyist's are the owners of western mainstream media platforms 😢
Of course they produce the most scariest Gamechanger weapons in the media,
if they intending selling more weapons.
They have to use their media platforms to make sure people believe that they have Gamechanger weapons,
      but in reality.
      They have a serious problem,
and when they are years behind Russia and China when it comes to really fast hypersonic missiles.
      It's impossible to catch up,
because not only are Russia's production capacity huge.
But China have insane huge production capacity.
People wondering how is this possible,
how could the US sleep as they have done.
That's because greedy weapon industry complex owner's have been busy producing fascinating insane expensive Fighter jets past 20 years,
they want more money for less work.
That's the problem with private weapon industry complex owner's,
they are not after producing most effective weapons on the battleground.
They don't think about the US security,
they are obsessed about earning most possible money.
That's the reason why other countries are ahead when it comes to most effective and cheap advanced weapon systems,
they are obsessed about creating more effective weapons to protect their own country and citizens.
Private weapon industry complex owner's are obsessed about profit,
western weapon industry complex should never have had a handful of private greedy owners 😢
Are fighter jets and huge aircraft carriers most effective weapons today,
      not at all.
But we are still fascinating about seeing them,
      they are expensive to buy.
How many really fast hypersonic missiles do people believe that Russia and China could be producing for the price of 1 F-35 ???
      That's important question,
if United States was the owners of weapon industry in the US.
They would never be obsessed about being greedy,
they would also been producing more effective cheaper weapons that makes the US more secure.
People are still much more fascinating about fighter jets and huge aircraft carriers,
they sell with insane huge profits.
But it's not the most cheap and effective weapons,
I have to admit that I think fighter jets and huge aircraft carriers still making me more impressed vs some small or huge hypersonic missiles,
but my impression don't make them more effective.
But they selling with huge profits,
the US should just take those weapon industry complex from greedy mighty private Lobbyist's.
Private war industry, worst thing that ever happened for the west.

The bots and trolls dominate here. Don't ever forget, China doesn't have UA-cam. It's all blocked. As well as purchasing or using any vpn's. People on this site supporting China are purposely here to sow discontent.

Oh so ur logic is that if people report positive things on the us army its normal nothing wrong with it but if people report positive things about the chinese army than he is either paid by the ccp or a pro china guy? Plus this channel is taiwanese and why would a taiwanese be "pro China" ?
