So I am unimpressed, and unpersuaded that the future will look anything like that. The first thing is no one is going to be driving cars, and certainly no one would be allowed to fly a personal vehicle simply because it would be to dangerous to be allowed anywhere near a populated center, and if you can’t move a large group of people clearly it would be cost prohibitive.
So it would be pretty much unaffordable for the average citizen, and there would have to be some tremendous breakthroughs to have a personal flying vehicle flying over, and around populous areas, and so I think the smart home concept is something that’s possible, and having a robotic servant is something that is also possible, but we can pretty much do that within the next decade, so I don’t think that’s much of a stretch of our imaginations. If scientists figure out time travel, that means all the people that died in the past can be brought to the future to live their lives in comfort and safety. Those people spend and often gave up their lives so we can have an amazing future, so they deserve to share the rewards.

oh, yeah, flying cars sound like a *_great_* idea. lots of people can't drive as it is. and how is a cop flying car gonna pull over some idiot driver in the middle of the sky? some how, the idea of a high-speed chase in the air don't exactly sound good to me.
