It's funny you mention breaking a glass jar with hot ghee. I am right now, this very second, cleaning up from a broken jar with freshly made grass-fed ghee. Tragic. I will use a bowl next time!

Ghee is food and that is it
Once opened it's better to refrigerate and use within 3 months. If unopened it can last forever.
