This is awesome!!! I just made my very first jar of ghee and used this method - by far the simplest method. It smells and tastes so good & its kinda fun to just enjoy the various levels of bubbles as it progresses. Thank you!!! (-:
+originalsusie Hi! When your ghee got cold (1 hour or more later) it acquired a strange consistency or it looked like a cream? Ive made too ghees the other one I have double filtered and it looks lot way better.. But it was not good because i didnt got lots of ghee of a butter. I have used 1,3 pounds of butter and I could only make 280mL of ghee.(0,6 pint). But I didnt know whar is the most correct thing to do
+Ronan Bahia The consistency is like really soft butter, not nearly as hard as the butter you start with, its a golden yellow in color and tastes almost like a light toffee. It will also depend on the quality of butter, different butters will have varying amounts of water / or / fat - which will change the color and texture and even require different cook times. I hope this helps :-) originalsusie.com
Great video and explanation. I think you forgot to mention that you have to wait until ghee is cold enough, to put a lid on. The only thing that could eventually spoil ghee is moist.
Our Invaders (Europeans and Anglo Saxons) who once mocked our culture, food, religion, way of living race, medicinal system looks etc. are now following us on each of these. That's the power of my country, India !!! Jai Bharat Mata Ki,Jai Hind !!!, Long live India, Long live Hinduism .....
+Nirmala Patil This magnificent lady did not invade you nor has she ever mocked Indian culture. Most Indian people have no idea what Ayurveda is. People are people, some are wonderful some are racist, patriotic, bigots ...forgiveness = freedom. Long live Love amongst us all!
Nirmala Patil You are indeed a very very petty person. I'm also an Indian and I find your comment so repulsive that I can just say go and see a psychiatrist without any delay.
Thanks to India for giving the wonderful Ayurveda to the world. It has been an integral part of Indian hindu culture for thousands of years.
This is SUCH a helpful video Myra. I go back to it time and time again when I am making ghee. Thank you!!!
