The Warhammer universe is such a rich and endless source of stories and lore. Awesome video mate I've never watched a "human timeline" dive into Warhammer 40k as good as this one.
I watched and read 40k all day than Mass Effect. Humans should never make themselves pets and obedient dogs to arrogant xenos. It is mankind destiny to rule the stars, not filthy xenos!
There are many theories and guesses to what kind of dimension and entities the crew of Event Horizon encountered over as they traversed light years of folding space-time. Essentially instead a wormhole travel that used a corridor of bending space to direct routes of a shortcut across light years. The Event Horizon opened a gateway to another dimension, outside of the known universe. The crew of the starship obviously encountered something as shown in the movie. Influenced by that something, both the crew of Event Horizon and Dr. William Weir inflicted themselves with horrific practices of fornicating and mutilating and especially gouging their eyes with little no regard the extreme pain they caused on themselves. The body on Dr. William have strange markings that he cut himself and the Latin phrase by a crew member of the starship. This implied that whatever 'corrupted' the doctor and the crew is definitely a being or presence residing in the dimension the Event Horizon went through. The ship also attained sentience.
@@jarredlkling the shaman who killed themselves in prehistoric times? and the warp drive in movie acts entirely different to warp drives in lore. oh and there's the fact that the main screenwriter and director of the movie both stated that 40k didn't inspire the movie the only person involved with the movie who ever stated 40k inspired the movie was a low level script writer who had an extremely minor part in writing the script
If you told me that Niat would do a Playlists worth of content on warhammer a year ago, I'd have called you a madman. All I can say now is... hell yeah.
Loved all the WH fantasy references and shots . Tw3 is one of my favorite games at the moment. Would love to see you jump into that universe some day. Faith, steel and gunpowder.

I know you are not getting as many views as your other videos but I hope you keep making these Warhammer videos, maybe try and do a collab with someone like WesHammer to attract that audience.
I feel like the 3 chaos gods came to be well before humanity's existance. The war in heaven definitely birthed Korne. Pappa Nurgle and Tzeentch as a result of the War. Slaanesh was born from the collective excess of the Eldar race. Humanity fuels them for sure but in no way birthed them
The one thing that I dont believe is that The God Emperor ever relied on sublight means of transportation, considering he can do what any warp portal generator can do by sheer force of will. He was probably also the best navigator of all time as well because he can see the warp as well as the gods of chaos can.
I wish they would expand on Malice. The chaos God that’s on no one side and would likely fight against the ruinous powers. In the case of the imperium, the enemy of my enemy or something along that line. Considering the state of humanity, definitely need something to go in their direction.
Great vid. Not sure if you're using AI, as you've included some things that aren't cannon. Example Chaos God Malice who was a one off WH40K short done early on. They never secured the rights so they never used officially in the Lore. Sons of Malice, a space Marines Chaos warband, being the only linking reference. They are other Gods/ entities, un the warp, mostly left unnamed, & I'd like to think this is where Malice resides.😊
Since the Chaos Gods feed of human emotion -- the Space Wolves are as useful to Khorne as the World-Eaters. To win Space Marines need to become kinder, like the Salamanders; or become completely mission-focused like the Grey Knights.
Man, you told me you'd do Mr.Nobody and it was in the works like 2 years ago. I quit watching because you started doing the biggest movies only. The relevant stuff. Miss your old stuff man. You're still amazing and I love it. Would be dope if you'd do that movie, it's very underrated.
By the god emperor boy 40 k is on the rise, frak it we must remember lest the dark gods of chaos twist this but as any good imperial acolyte would know that 1: " knowledge is power, guard it well.... And 2: "in the darkness of the far future there is only war... And the laughter and thirst of dark gods"
You do good videos but it kind of showcases why I don't play this game (though I admit I have bought a few minis). It's just too depressing. It's dystopia dialed up to 15. Imaginative but it makes you long for oblivion rather than making you aspire to our future. Given that dystopia is the watchword of our modern culture, it's no wonder it's so popular.
In Warhammer Fantasy there was an entire pantheon of order aligned gods - Sigmar, Morr, Taal, Ulric, Ranaald, Myrmydia and so on just a name a few human deities, and several of them seem to also have equivalents in the Age of Sigmar setting. In 40K, it is suggested that all human emotions have their reflections in the Warp, but negative emotions are more strongly expressed, and so the harmful, evil Warp entities associated with those negative emotions tend to be stronger and more active. With that said, it is often hinted that the Ruinous Powers are only the negative aspects of greater, more complex beings, and so Khorne embodies violence and brutality, but is part of a greater whole that also encompasses honour, courage, and nobility in battle. Tzeentch embodies deceit, manipulation and mutation, but also is part of a greater manifestation in the Warp that represents the pursuit of knowledge and the appreciation of the value of learning. Slaanesh represents dangerously obsessive perfectionism and the reckless pursuit of extreme sensation, but also forms part of a greater being that also embodies the appreciation of beauty, art and literature along with the higher ideals of both romantic and platonic love . Nurgle embodies decay, disease, corruption, despair and fear, but at the same time is part of a larger entity in the Warp that also embodies the natural world and its seasons and cycles of birth, death, and renewal. You also have the Emperor, who seems to draw power from the peoples of the Imperium, ironically including from their worship of him a s a god, something that he explicitly rejected while he walked abroad within the Imperium.
it should be noted that the narrative that the 3 chaos gods arose during the medieval times is largely seen as incorrect. considering the warp is timeless all 4 gods have always existed since the dawn of time. from the perspective of nurgle, khorne and tzeentch slaanesh has always existed even though we have an exact date of the birth of slaanesh in human time the warp is mysterious.
I always understood it as because the immaterium exists beyond space and time, that no matter when they came into existence that they have always existed. Which is a much more interesting mind bending concept, that fits Warhammer 40k. Like the moment they came into existence and had also always existed.
I'm with ya! I think I've legitimately learned more about "reality" from detailed "fiction" than all my years in compulsory state sponsored indoctrination.
Galaxy spanning Eldar civilisation t*tty slapping each other for 60 million years makes one chaos god, Humans crank out three while still on their one planet they named after dirt. Ok, cool

Showing this much Warhammer (not 40k) footage, it would probably make sense to inform people that the fantasy/medieval setting being displayed is NOT the past but rather just one of the worlds in the Warhammer 40k universe that is basically untouched by the any of the other factions in thousands of years. It's actually on some of the older maps from the early 90s-00s
Nice, but it would have been nicer, if the footage you provided would fit with the timeline you are discussing. No space marines nor technopriests in the Age of Technology...
I hate what GW is currently doing. I mean, they've been crapping the bed for years now, but their most recent retcon of the Adeptus Custodes has to be the dumbest thing they've done yet. Why ruin such an amazing setting such as Warhammer 40k with dumb ideas like identity politics, gender politics, toxic feminism, and DEI? I thought the whole point of a tabletop strategy game was to escape from that in the first place.
One of the worst things about the way your doing this series, is your use of ai art, or the use of fantasy content, or the fact you put random stuff on screen that’s not relevant to the topic at hand…. Talks about Slanesh is showing Tzynch, talks about orks shows choose warriors, talks about 40k yet constantly shows fantasy…. Ect ect ect….
I was excited to consume Warhammer lore because of the new game but was sorely disappointed. Lore is not that impressive. The only thing I like about the whole thing is about the battery psykers who are trapped in their remaining lives as batteries and replaced when they expire. That's the only interesting thing. The rest is like they did a complete medieval but in space which kinda feels cheap. Even Stellaris has better lore than Warhammer (IMO)
Warhammer has become too bloated. Too many cooks in the kitchen have added too much nonsense into what could once have been a coherent universe. Every new writer wanted to make their own mark, resulting in nonsense like space ships powered by prayers and farts.
Hey guys, I've created a playlist for our Warhammer 40K videos. Links here - ua-cam.com/play/PLatjtyCHJZimmbp9dcDeaDTE3cSm_trIE.html
Can you please do a video on the new movie The Watchers that just came out Friday? That’s totally right up your alley!!!
Thanks, Niyat!
You should. CHeck out Warframe. Has some amazing lore
I’m so happy you’re covering 40k lore. The Emperor Protects.

I always liked the fan theory that we first made contact with the entities of the warp in the movie Event Horizon.
There are many theories and guesses to what kind of dimension and entities the crew of Event Horizon encountered over as they traversed light years of folding space-time. Essentially instead a wormhole travel that used a corridor of bending space to direct routes of a shortcut across light years. Now that you mention it
makes next to zero sense lore wise
@@nicholasbrown668how? Maybe one of the shaman who became the Emperor was one of the crew members?!
