you should make a video like this and get stuff from like Biltema, Clas Ohlsons, teknikmagazinet, kjell o company mm. there are probebly more that im blanking on but as a fellow swede that would be funny. i know biltema has airbrushes :)
Surely this series needs to be called Warscammer?
I love it
Scamhammer
No @@Nico745
This is class 😂
@@Nico745even better
they should do an all scam diarama where they have to buy all tools, paints, minis, brushes, you name it from one of the scam websites and build a beautiful diorama!
Scam me twice, Shein on you :)
THIS. IS. BRILLIANT!
Scam me three times, shame on temu 😎🔫
The UV resin and the alcohol inks can be used together no problem. but alcohol slows down the hardening of the resin and makes it thinner, and the inks are extremely packed with pigment. so you need to mix them like one drop in 15ml, not one drop of ink into one drop of resin, or there will be so much alcohol in the resin, that it just wont work anymore. using 1:1 ratio will make it so that theres not enough resin particles touching each other, which means it just cant harden at all, so that was a goof on your side. this will literally not work with any resin and alcohol ink combo. so the 10/10 scam rating seems a bit harsh when this is just the wrong way to use the ink.
Knowing what GSW are like, their UV resin is probably just the Shein stuff in a different bottle, with better lawyers.
The label on the bottle is why GSW sell it at higher price^^
you didn't get scammed on the glue, with that low viscus version you hold parts together and put the tip in the joint, and then gently apply pressure on the bottle and its works great. another great trick is to use a needle and cut open the head on the needle so you get a tiny fork, then you can use that to apply the glue with, works great for photoetched parts and super thin styrene stuf that might melt with tamiya extra thin
In defense of the "$3" rotary tool you bought, it's actually an engraver, not a full rotary tool like a Dremil. It works well for what it is, and I've got the same one that I've found to be gentle enough to clean support bumps and work on resin 3D prints without cracking them.
I've had mine for years and it works, it also doesn't drain the batteries when just laying around. I don't use it as a dremel though since it isn't a dremel but it works great for the simple stuff.
The Alcohol ink you use to paint on top of transparent cured resin. It will change the color and keep the transparency.
Thank you. Like seriously, I don't think I ever would have learned this (therefore ever tried alcohol ink) without this comment on this video. Travel safe fellow traveller
@@nicholashurst780 You are welcome. Just remember to apply varnish after, so it brings the transparency even more.
@@nicholashurst780 you can also mix it in. but like... a few drops in a shotglass amount of resin. not 1:1. alcohol dilutes resin and makes it cure slower. thats why you can use it to clean resin spills, and clean resin with it in general. but using too much will make the resin particles not bond to each other anymore, since resin makes chains with itself when curing, and too much alcohol in there will make that impossible. so they just used it in a very bad way tbh (something i thought tehy would look up before saying its a scam, when this is literally how all alcohol inks work, not just "chinese" ones. its alcohol with pigment, its all the same ). it also says on bottles and packaging usually that you have to use a few drops per cup. theres enough pigment in there to still color it nicely. if you want solid color alcohol inks are bad in general. use pigment powder for that (takes longer to stir in tho, which is why alcohol inks exist, cause the pigment is already disolved into a liquid that easily mixes iwth resin). but also not in a 1:1 ratio. a small spoonfull for a big cup is enough here. but this will also make it cure slower cause light takes longer to get through to everything.
Cool series, but none of these things on these websites are "scams". They're just cheap junk mostly.
Also not a cool series tbh compared to last year's content.
The fake Dremel...I was in tears LMFAO 🤣
The mimic chest looks like a print from Loot Studios. They don’t have any permissions for third parties to print their stuff
Shien, the Legal sweat shop
Nike*
Silly, all sweatshops are legal!
Just gotta put them in countries where they're legal
That chest Mini appears to be Loot Studios "Chest Mimic" from their Fantasy Welcome Pack.
Yup, I think you’re right. And whoever is selling it doesn’t have a license, because Loot doesn’t offer merchant licenses.
I think that was an Artisan Guild mimic model
From their "Treasure Chests & Mimics" set
Loot Studios has a similiar one. Would need to compare them though
I remember when you used to make videos about painting minis.
Like the one from last week? :D
Yeah one video about normal painting every 1.5 months... Seems a little light for a channel about painting minis...
The mimic mini is artisan guild I believe btw!
Looking forward to your new series "Does it smell?!"
I love that they use three different currencies, speaks in dollars, money count in euros and pays in kronas
Hey man just wanted to say thank you for the content. I’ve watched a ton of your content and just finished my 1st mini. Thanks again for the videos!
Absolutely love watching these vids with you guys. Its the highlight of my youtube day 😊
Not the "I've had it happen😏" and then "super nice tip😊"
There's a really easy way to find some of the coolest teeny tiny hobby stuff, especially on sites like this, that you'll never see in traditional hobby spaces: look for nail art supplies
And that exact water pot is also sold by a bunch of well known art suppliers, you just got the smarter option
That mimic miniature is from Artisan Guild but given how hard it was for me to get a commercial licence 3 years ago, I doubt they have one :D
I love the scam series!
Lukas is brave to be licking a brush that was made in a mystery factory in a third world country.
That's mostly all of them lol
@@darudemesa6703 Certainly all of the ones you can buy on Shien, Wish, and Temu. Hopefully he's eaten enough Lutfisk over the years to build up a tolerance!
Covid patient zero 😅
Love this series it’s just so relaxing to watch lol 😂 great videos 🫶
Glad you like them!
Yoooo! My friend 3D printed that mimic at 3:50 for me a year or so ago. Love that lil thing.
I still like actual medical scalpel blades more than hobby knives.. You can get 100 pieces for like 20 bucks, there's a bunch of shapes, and you know the carbon steel quality and sharpnes QC is great, because it would be a big deal if a surgeon pulls one out and it's dull.. The sharpnes doesn't last as long because they're meant to be one time use, but there's nothing better than pulling a fresh one out and it just gliding through everything..
12:55 That inline moisture trap is going the wrong way 🤣
with every pricetag it "inklusive moms", you get a mom with every item you purchased that"s very generous :D
10:24 I'm dying, that was hilarious.
Love this series
You could use the root piece as the centre body piece of a tentacle bursting chaos terminator space marine, which would be cool but include some kitbashing/sculpting
I have the exact alcohol inks, they work wonderfully in normal 2 part resin. I assume they're fore that and not the UV resin.
I've bought that same resin on Amazon. It works really nice.
was bit surprised the uv torch worked with its uv range..
Just as a note a lot of those cheap resin inks work only with non-uv resin, with uv resin it either takes way too long, still sticky after curing or it only cures on out outside
I have a set of clip on lens just like that, I use the macro for checking faces and such. Definitely a niche item but fun to have.
I hope more of these small "stores" keep popping up, because this is my favorite video series you 2 do.
i love your videos Dudes! Always have to laugh at your jokes, go on!
"this is the worst airbrush"
but
but thats exactly the same as the one i got at the local hardware store...
i do have a better compressor tho i guess
You need to do a top 10 of the things you bought throught this series!
I think that the mimic miniature was done by "Artisan Guild"
I have a fake dremmel similar to that one and I use it to clean mold line, it's great for that because it's not that strong that it damages the minis
Glad you guys do this so none of us have to!
great video, thanks guys
About the thin superglue. I love that stuff for glueing terrain / dirt / rocks. It has lovely capillary action and dirt sticks almost immediately. I always use these extremely thin ones on my bases. It also seals wood / cork / etc. A local electrical component shop sells a pack of 3 + a sniczer for about 1 dollar and I usually buy it bulk. It is so sheap and so much quicker than PVA or modpodge for making bases.
It also reacts with PVA creating a nasty gue perfect for tyranids. So I would not say it is a bad thing :D
The mimic looks like the Artisan's Guild one, of the mages set
I would love to see you guys do a paint off form one of these sites, say both get like 100 euro each to buy stuff and see how well of a job you could do painting one of the models form the site with the same supplies XD as usual love the vid keep it up guys.
PLEASE LINK THE THINGS YOU BOUGHT!! Those glasses lens look so useful!!! I cant find em!
UV resin always smells, some just stronger than other!
i have the paint water cup with pallet and i love it
I paint with cheap reading glasses, made a huge difference instantly.
I love these videos. I don’t know why because 99% of the stuff is crap but I guess I’m tuned in for that rare 1% baby!!
You got so many things for the fishtank in this series of videos. Show your fishes!!!
My heart grows lighter whenever y'all rule something a 0/10 Scam
SPLOOCH! This will be part of my vocab now!
Those droppers of dye for resin are literally the same i got off of Temu a few weeks ago... they're pretty good with casting resin! the greens i got were a bit weak but everything else was good! . I do love how these websites are a literal gold mine...in that you have to spend a LOT of time 'mining' to find the odd little bit of gold xD . . . *** additional/edit... got that grinder from a poundshop years ago..... its fine for Balsa.... . . uhh...
Lord of The Print recently had to change the name of the company to Rescale Miniatures. Guess the estate of a certain author’s books somehow decided that the name was a little too similar. Just putting it out there in case anyone is interested in looking them up.
but is the super glue actually gluing stuff in place? cause you know... you can cut to tip to make it way more usable.
The paints are super cheap but theyre not for us. They're perfect for toddlers and little kids painting and just getting a bit messy. Reasonable easy to clean. Not big pots so if they grab it its not huge amount of paint being thrown about. It's just not meant for minatures. 18:29
This might be a dumb question: where can I buy models from other than etsy? I want to support creators but looking for more than just games workshop and etsy.
The super thin glue is for putting the peices together, then applying the glue. It flows in between the parts, then you remove the excess using a cloth with acetone.
I think the gunpla crowd uses it to freeze poses. Might be good for Tau Battlesuits.
The Mimic is from Artisan Guild, one of the best Stl Creator out there!
I freakin love these vidoes
The superglue actually looks OK - just not for the purpose you need it. Superglue that is this runny is great for repairing loose frets on a guitar or for touch ups on wood.
Those paints are the default children's paints that come bundled with every art package over here in the US. They freaking suck lol
Airbrushed HeroQuest Scorpion dude!!!! sick!
Glad you guys are making videos regularly but we need something big to tune in for. Scam/tool/shop tour videos suuuuuuuck. But I love you guys!
How is any of this really a scam..?
And how many UV resins don't stink?
That model looks like the treasure chest from the newer dungeons and dragons movie
You need to make a diorama using all the worst ranked items you both have reviewed from these companies 🤣
That mimic chest can be gotten off of etsy for cheaper (I actually have it)
Does Lucas have a hobbit hole tattooed on his hand? That's sick
lumping in Aliexpress, a general marketplace, is not fair here.
Did you pay extra taxes or import duties while shipping to Sweden on any of these sites?
the mimmic chest is from Loot studios their latest fantasy one i believe
just checked correction "fantasy starter pack 3.0"
Most items here are nothing to do with Warhammer only hobbying as a whole.
I have those inks for resin and honestly they're totally fine
Hey Squidmar, Ive got a few ideas for a videos for you. What if you used your skills as mini painters and the tools you have for adjacent hobbies. Use your airbrush to do makeup, use your brushes to do freehand art on finger nails, use warhammer models to make a train diorama, I'm sure Lukas will love that last one. Love your content
100% pure high-grade chinesium...only the best.
bonus points for hero quest minis
So the resin works well but not if you use with the inks then? Didnt understood well on the video 🙈
Haven’t I seen this already? 😅 Just need the black cat from The Matrix walking past to confirm it…..
Time for a new epic diorama build. Amirite?
Love the scams videos ;) I wonder... how many of these do you throw away immediately after the video? :D
None, but we have given away stuff like cheap airbrushes to local kids n stuff :)
@@SquidmarMiniatures sweet, that's so nice of you 😎
anonther month without getting paid, for Lukas 😉
I have been using that airbrush since last december and it alreaedy is broken
22:53 underated comment. But I got your back.
Wait i wasnt sure what was wrong But then i noticed that lukas doesnt have a hat
That mimic look alot like Loot Studios mimic
I have to be honest... I miss "WARLORD TITAN!" in the videos.
Pretty sure the mimic is from Broken Anvil. And ….well screw broken anvil, they are scammers 😂
the shein-ing, due to copy rights stuff...
They mentioned in a video at the beginning of the year that they would be releasing a Squidmar wet palette. Are there any news yet?
One-two months out, we're waiting for the shipment from factory
@@SquidmarMiniatures Thanks for the info :)
Should call it, WARSCHAMMER
At least they aren't sponsoring the video, but these organisations are widely known to be exploitative so still feels bad to be making videos on it
Disagree, they can make videos on Auschwitz if they want its their channel
your never gonna not get a non pulse on those style compressors, without a tank ALL compressors will give you pulsing. Its not a scam because it does what they advertise, it works, but yeah without a res it'll pulse every stroke of the compressor itself. You can technically get around it, by adding a reservoir into the loop but at that point you might as well have brought a more expensive compressor.
But there designed normally around doing cakes or make up application.
No, all compressors without a tank do not pulsate :) i've used a tonne of cheap-ish compressors without a tank giving an even flow.
Funny how nobody knows what dropshipping is.
