The other role of insurgent civilians is sabotage. No big stuff just little stuff scattered around that distracts Russians and drains them.
Weaken rails and trestles so when a heavily loaded train travels it gets derailed. Also, scattering caltrops randomly around military bases is good, too. These nuisance attacks force Russia to expend resources chasing down guerrillas.
Also, successful insurgency in Ukraine could inspire dissidents in Dagestan or Kazakstan to start their own sabotage campaign.

It reminds me of the French Resistance : 90% of the activities was to pass message and gather with innocuous apparences : my grand-aunt (who was a simple young girl at the time) was bringing messages hidden in her bicycle while transporting vegetables and bread. My grand-father was a miner and he and some of his coworkers were deliberatly collapsing mine shafts making it look like an accident to hinder coal prodution for the Germans. My grand-mother told me of an old lady she knew who was just sitting at her window kneating while counting the german soldiers and trucks passing by and reporting it to the resistance who transmitted the information to London via hidden radios. There were many examples like that.

Reminds me of a talk at school (English military boarding school in the early 1980s) on basic espionage techniques. As I recall one of the suggestions (this was decades before phones had cameras) was to have an attractive young lady pose for pictures. The guards are looking at the attractive young lady, not where the camera is pointing. These days you could have young ladies taking selfies with the guards, that way you get unit insignia and intel on what kit they have.

At 6:15 you say, "...a wallet with 200 bucks in it..." and you said that the location guards would say, "...this is old lady shit, get out of here...".
You forgot about stealing the $200 first!! 😃😃😃
Actually, not a bad idea for a guerilla, as the guard would never admit to the MPs that he ever saw you. Especially, if you do a "helpless civilian protest" and are summarily chased off.

To play devil's advocate for a minute, there are also insurgents who do things like blowing up railway switching stations and so forth, and so would be walking around carrying - at the very least - explosives or incendiary materials. (Alongside their packets of Strike gum).
