    My dude hope you read this...I have a problem eating goat because as a kid living in Port-au-Prince my mom brought home a goat one day and he became my pet...I called him Jackson (I was very into michael jackson in those days)...well one day I was heading to my communion and same I saw some people come to the house and they took him by rope...I thought nothing of it...later that day we had a big party at my house to celebrate my communion and I ran over to ask my mother where's Jackson so I can show him off to all my guests and my mom said coldly..."What do you think you been eating all this time?" and that my friend was the end of goat meat for me

      Rest in peace to your buddy Jackson.... It's a cold world... They're no pet goats in the Caribbean... Even though they are super intelligent and affectionate.... After they killed goatie I befriended another one and they stole him..... Smh.

    Wonderful, you haven't been to the main square park, the citadel, the vertière monument which is the best part of the city, there is a grand plan to completely rebuild and modernize the infrastructure of the city, you have undoubtedly seen a lot of construction, destruction and rebuilding, this city will look different in the next 5-10 years. and if you or any Jamaican want to come and do business in Haiti, let us know because we will provide you with land, collateral and security mainly if you want to invest in production. we Haitians believe that black people have an obligation to learn to build and not just take great pleasure in enjoying what whites and others have group of men have built even in our own country because that is the only way to develop true problem solving culture and collective power we need to be free and prosper instead of just surviving as we've been doing so far
    Be blessed brother

    Very much appreciate you going to Haiti and showing the beauty of the country while also sheding light on the history of how France CONTINUED to take advantage of that country even after Haiti gained their freedom. That little island continued to pay France until 1947 I believe, and the French have NEVER given any of that money back! The overwhelming majority of people have no clue that this was going on, so I very much appreciate you making mention of it.

    • @KeenanLambert198
      @KeenanLambert198  Рік тому +2

      Blessings Patrick! I think that debt is a large share of what prevented Haiti from building infrastructure and inviting the right type of foreign direct investment.

      @@KeenanLambert198 I agree... I have been to Haiti a number of times , yet never flew to Cap-Hatien. I've always flown into Port-au-Prince, yet due to what's been going on these past years I no longer feel safe doing that. Thanks to your video I plan to finally return and see Cap-Hatien for the first time within this next year. Just wanted to let you know that and say thanks again for making this video.

    I always hope industry would come in and improve life for the amazing people. Can’t imagine what it’s like to live in a country where the government is so corrupt. The street market suggest the human sprit always thrives. Thanks for all you do my friend 🌞🙏🌴

      Corruption runs very deep in Haiti, you feel it and see it. The wealthy and the gov't are bleeding the country dry. Thankfully the spirit of the people runs deeper shines brighter. Better must come for our brothers and sisters down there. Blessings Ron!!!

    That Police Officer with a Black Ski Mask in the heat would have freaked me out. I'm technically freaked out watching it. Of course you stand out you the only one vlogging and you are dressed in solid colors with jewelry on. I would like to see you visit Dubai or Iran next. I never heard of Cane Juice.

      @KeenanLambert198  Рік тому

      The only jewelry I had on was a wooden rasta necklace, nothing else. My phone is old as hell, but one glance and they all knew I was foreign as hell. Dubai..... If I do it , I'm going to focus on the Indian laborers that built the city and had their passports taken.

      @@KeenanLambert198 in fact no matter where you go in Haiti they will know that you are not from there and that you are a foreigner and it is for your own protection contrary to what people may think Haiti is a small country under constant surveillance by their own people, everyone knows everyone and must watch their neighborhood against those who may come and cause trouble, the reason why Port au prince is out of control is that the earthquake destroyed many neighborhoods, including the neighborhood watchman that gangs replaced, then started fighting each other for control, but you safe everywhere in Haiti, crime is low outside the gangs control hoodzs in Port-au-Prince, the South like Jacmel is just as good and even better

    Poor You! Wow, the same happened to me with my pet baby gold fish growing up in Brooklyn. Came home from school & the tank was empty. Asked my mom what happened to them. Mom told me grandma cooked them🤯! Talk about TRAUMATIZED, didn't eat fish again after that. Til I went to 🇯🇲Jamaica for vacay 25 years later & had the famous escavitch snapper🤤 & bami in Portland. Truth be told they died & they didn't want to tell me, i don't know which was worse! West Indian parents can be so wicked!😂 I felt your pain!

    Thank you for telling the truth about this beautiful country and the beautiful people. When I see the resourceful street vendors, I wonder why so many black folks here work for other people when they have 100x the resources available! Sorry to hear about your pet goat. The best (curry) goat I've ever had to this day was on a small restaurant/shack roadside somewhere between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
