- Today we're going back in time to see how Cleadon Water Tower and Pumping Station helped to save countless lives following the Victorian Cholera epidemics.
The predecessor of Northumbrian Water, The Sunderland and South Shields Water Company were created through an act of parliament to help create more water sources to stop disease getting into our water again.
We take our fresh clean water from the tap for granted!
