I'm Imo and she's Izzy. We're a UK mother and daughter vlogging combo that loves to get out and about and exploring South Wales and beyond.
We're a formerly homeschooling/home-educating family of two based in the UK dealing with the daily challenges of managing Izzy's severe, chronic eczema and her education. Our resourcefulness is tested on a daily basis, but we'd love to share our little triumphs and discoveries with you as we go along.
Imo is a flautist/flutist (flute player), and these vlogs will often take you behind the scenes of the life of a professional folk musician. Stand by for bits and bobs of live folk music and dance as they pop up in our day-to-day lives.
These videos will not generally feature recorded background music, making them extra suitable for people who aren't keen on pop music!

Good afternoon... I just noticed that I had missed this video. So here we are a week later, still looking the same and living the same life.. ha
Here in BC we were all asked to remove our bird feeders for 14 days, to stop the spread of a salmonella outbreak that particularly impacted the pine siskin's. Too many of these little birdies have been found on the ground under the bird feeders, or in close proximity to them. We've been asked to remove any spilled seed from the ground, and to thoroughly clean our feeders with hot water, a little bleach and soap. Feeders are a significant source of transmission for them due to their social nature of feeding closely together.

Lots of goodies from the grocery delivery. That will keep you going for a bit. I love rice cakes too, and often will have 2 with some dutch gouda cheese in the evening. They're also good with peanut butter.

Although I was educated and worked as a chemist (not a pharmacist in your lingo), I learned and regularly used the metric system in my work. Mostly weights and volumes, we were rarely measuring the length of something in the lab. I still like to use grams on my kitchen scale and milliliters for measuring volume. But in my woodworking, I am strictly imperial.
It's funny isn't it? We're a bit mix and match here with imperial and metric. Weight and height of people is nearly always in imperial.

Command strips do cost a fortune! What I do sometimes I cut the command strips in half so I only use half of it, but it still keeps my pictures on the wall because they're really not too heavy
Oh that's a jolly good idea. I have shared that tip with IB, who had never heard about Command strips before but has now ordered some on the strength of seeing mine come off the wall with no problems.

Totally get the tripod situation
Yup! Hee hee! I think the rubbery bottoms of my tripod legs have got gradually more greasy from use whilst cooking and they have lost their grip. I might try giving them a clean.

I had bad experiences having groceries delivered, more often than not the stuff they would bring me was past it's expiration date or close to it so I just said screw it, I'm just doing my own grocery shopping from now on
Oh that's a pity. My main trouble with online groceries is quite a few times, the fruit and veg has been bashed about a bit on gone off quick before I could eat it because it's been damaged.

Yeah "chingate" was very impressive! I think it's the way you just did it with no forewarning! Obviously a practiced move!😁 I think very pale pink or cream background wise but you could always recover it yourself? I think it's fantastic, the way you've taught yourself the techy side of vlogging. Would you ever consider teaching others to do it? It could be an additional income stream for you - either via zoom or in the future as an adult education class. 😄
Thanks Kate - I hadn't considered teaching editing, although I've felt I'd like to do a geeky 'how I edit my vlogs' video with loads of examples in context. I'm still very new to my latest software so I feel I ought to leave it to the pros for now. I hadn't ever thought of teaching it live. Maybe one day, though. Thanks for the idea. :¬)

@@PlanetImo no it's a new feeder and new food. Thd last one had a big tray at the bottom. The pigeons used to sit on it but they cant on this one.... so maybe less pigeons eating

You do know you can go back in to your list when shopping online? I always just put a pile of stuff into my basket when I book the slot and then change it a day or two before to what I actually want. I am the online grocery order queen, I’ve done it for about 14 years since the boys were little and it was such stress going to the supermarket with them. They still don’t like going to shops. I think it’s all those people!

Hello! :¬) She's in college now studying the WJEC GCSE Mathematics curriculum. She was studying WJEC GCSE Maths numeracy until she started college. We used Corbett Maths plus a live tutor for that.
