REMEMBERING A HERO

Around 5 a.m. last Friday, New Mexico State Police Officer Justin Hare was dispatched to I-40 at milepost 318 to help the driver of a BMW who had a flat tire and had been trying to waive down other motorists.
While officer Hare was talking to the motorist, without warning, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot officer Hare.
He walked to the driver's side and shot Hare a second time.
He then pushed Hare into the passenger seat and drove away in Hare's patrol car with Hare still in it.
Last night, the New Mexico State Police district 9 in Tucumcari mourned his loss.
