Killer Deals! The flutes - I am a retired band director, and as such know that virtually any flute at a garage sale will need between $75.00 to $200.00 repair work to place one in playing condition. So though you may see comps on eBay for $300.00 you must subtract the cost of repairs when purchasing (which it looks like you did) but I just wanted to caution everyone to be careful when buying unless you can actually test play it yourself. The same is true also for clarinets, and saxophones.
You have such a warm personality and since having discovered your channel in the past few days, all I have been doing is watching your videos. Feels like I have attended a crash course on garage sale finds and how to be even more polite than I am already. Great going mate!

Went to yard sale where the widow was selling all of her husband's collections. Setting there on a saw horse was a silver inlaid parade saddle for $200. I picked it up and carried it into her garage just as her daughter arrived. Told the daughter do not sell that saddle for less than $5000. When I told some people that story they thought I was crazy for not taking advantage of a bargain. I dont think so.

The daughter showed up to protect and help her mother who might have been in the early stages of alzheimers or dementia. She obviously did not know the value of things.

Thanks so much and I’m glad it helps! All books are different but if you look at a combination of copyright dates and certain number codes you can often determine first edition, first print, 2nd print etc. it gets a little confusing but I’ll try to go more into detail about it in the future!
Just got caught helping my nephew's son who's just getting started selling Cutco. I told my kids I'm leaving them in my will to them. The steak knives are about $80 apiece. Geesh!

I'm from northern europe, one of the nordic countries. It is interesting watching how different our cultures are. Everyone greets each other so nicely in your videos. To me the nice greetings seem very meaningless, its just kind of what you say. They are not actually asking how you are. But its still nice. We barely acknowledge each other where im from. Also i dont think i could ever pay someone 10% of the value, i feel kinda bad for them now knowing what they have. But i still like your videos. You seem like a nice guy. Keep them up friend.
